Challans in Jaipur

Jaipur is a bustling city, with a considerable amount of traffic. The city has seen a significant increase in the number of vehicles on the road, in recent years. This has resulted in congested roads and longer travel times.

Controlling traffic in populous cities such as Jaipur has become increasingly challenging, even after digitising the process. Digital traffic challans or E-challans are the solutions in such times.

So what exactly is a traffic challan? A traffic challan is a fine/penalty imposed on a person, if or when found violating traffic rules and regulations. A traffic challan is issued by the traffic police, or in some cases, by authorised officers, who monitor the traffic on road.

How to Check Challan in Jaipur

Just like in any other city in India, traffic police in Jaipur can issue traffic challans to individuals violating the standard traffic rules and regulations. These traffic challans can be issued for a wide range of traffic violations. These violations are mentioned later, as the article proceeds.

One can check the traffic challan issued to them in Jaipur through the official website of the Jaipur Traffic Police. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. The first step is to log on to Rajasthan Police Website

  2. Once on the website, click on the "Challan Search" option, located on the top left, right beside the home icon

  3. Read and accept the disclaimer

  4. On clicking on the same, it will redirect to a new page where the challan number, vehicle number, or driving license number need to be entered. Alternatively, one can enter their First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth

  5. After filling in the required details, click on the "Search" button

  6. The website will display the details of the challan issued, including the date of the violation, the type of violation, the location, and the amount of the fine

Alternatively, one can also visit the nearest Traffic Police Station or the RTO office to check the traffic challan offline. It's always advisable to pay the fine as soon as possible to avoid any further legal issues or penalties.

How to Pay Challan in Jaipur

One can pay a traffic challan in Jaipur by using either online or offline methods.

Making the payment online for a traffic challan has become a hassle-free task. This can be done by visiting the Rajasthan Police Website.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Click on the option of 'Challan Search' and select 'Accept'

  2. Enter your challan number, vehicle number, or driving license number

  3. Click on 'search' and select see the details' option to pay the amount

  4. Select the bank and make the payment.

Similar to checking the status of your challan, you can pay your challan offline by visiting your nearest traffic police station or RTO. You will be able to pay your challan there in cash or other payment methods as available.
