The Next-gen Maruti Swift has been one of the most anticipated car launches of 2024. The Launch is just around the corner when the Indo-Japanese carmaker officially starts accepting bookings for the fourth-gen Swift in India. The reservations for the future Maruti Suzuki Swift begin at Rs 11,000, the car will have its premiere on May 9, 2024, marking an important date. This India-spec vehicle combines classic and contemporary design elements with its striking red paint job and black pillars, grille, wing mirror casings, and roof.

Exterior Design

With an evolutionary design, the new Swift maintains its unique Swift identity while carrying on Suzuki's Heartect platform tradition. . Notable exterior updates include a re-designed front bumper, new grille, smoked LED headlamps with DRLs, and a rear with LED taillights and a skid plate.

Interior Transformation

The fourth-generation Swift's interior has undergone a dramatic makeover, with a two-tone dashboard finished in layers. Its sleek air conditioning controls, steering wheel, and gauges taken from other Maruti Suzuki models, along with its free-standing 9.0-inch touchscreen, all contribute to the overall interior design aesthetics.

Powertrain Updates

The present K-Series engine will be replaced with the new Z-Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which is one of the anticipated powertrain upgrades. With manual and automatic gearbox choices, 82 horsepower, and 112 Nm of torque, this new engine is anticipated to come equipped with Maruti's SHVS mild-hybrid technology.

Milestones in Safety and Sales

The fact that Maruti Suzuki's Japan-spec Swift vehicle received four stars in the country's NCAP crash tests is proof of their dedication to safety. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki has celebrated selling over 29 lakh Swifts since the model's launch in 2005, raising hopes for the fourth-generation vehicle to maintain its dominance in the premium hatchback market.
