Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Pre-Bookings Open, Launch on April 14

Volkswagen Opens Bookings for Tiguan R-Line Ahead of April 14 Launch. Volkswagen has revealed the Tiguan R-Line for India, featuring a 201bhp turbo-petrol engine, AWD, and six colour options. Pre-bookings are now open.

Unveiling and cutting the absolute new in place to be rolled in India by Volkswagen now. It opened bookings for the brand new sporty SUV-the Tiguan R-Line launching on April 14. Complete specification includes a 201bhp turbo-petrol engine, all-wheel drive, and six captivating colors.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Sporty Upgrade with More Power

Volkswagen has revealed important details about the Tiguan R-Line, to be launched in India, for which there is quite a stir among the SUV enthusiasts. The performance variant is set to be available in six monotone shade options with a more powerful 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine.

People in India could pre-order it from the official website of Volkswagen as of now, and the Tiguan R-Line is likely to sport a premium offering with a fully loaded single variant likely to be introduced at launch. However, the actual pricing for the all-new Tiguan is expected on April 14, 2025.

Powertrain and Performance: Enhancement in Power

The India variant of Tiguan R-Line will come with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine that churns out 201bhp and 320Nm of torque. It is around 17bhp more than the standard variant, but not as high as the international R-Line, which generates 261bhp and 400Nm.

The SUV will be equipped with Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive (AWD) system for more grip and handling on any road. Performance figures are still undisclosed, but the excess power and AWD configuration assure swift acceleration with confident driving dynamics.

Striking Color Options for a Sportier Appeal

The Tiguan R-Line features six intrepid hue selections, offering its new buyers a variety of deliberate options to suit their aesthetics:

  • Persimmon Red Metallic

  • Cipressino Green Metallic

  • Nightshade Blue Metallic

  • Grenadilla Black Metallic

  • Oryx White with Mother of Pearl Effect

  • Oyster Silver Metallic

Though information regarding variant detailing is still pending, the possibility of provision of a fully-loaded trim from Volkswagen exists to ensure premium features with advanced technology.

Expected Price and Launch Date

The official return of the Tiguan R-Line is on April 14, 2025, when the announcements regarding prices are likely to be made. It is expected that prices will be much higher than the original Tiguan, with the last official price being at ₹38.17 lakh (ex-showroom).

As the R-Line is a fully imported CBU, the expected price could be mentioned at around the ₹50 lakh mark (ex-showroom), putting it as a direct rival to premium SUVs of luxury brands.

Sporty, premium SUV with an AWD capability

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line possesses all the above-mentioned features-for better performance, in attractive high-performance shell design, premium features, and everything else in between-to appeal to those buyers who want a sports-performance SUV. It's made even more exciting due to the increase in power, the AWD option, and the bright color choices it brings into the Indian market for Volkswagen.

With pre-bookings now open, buyers eager for a sportier, more capable Tiguan can reserve their unit ahead of the April 14 launch.
