Volkswagen Tiguan R Line Bookings Open – Price, Specs, Features

Volkswagen Opens Bookings for the Sporty Tiguan R Line in India. Volkswagen has started accepting bookings for the Tiguan R Line ahead of its April 14 launch. The SUV gets a 204hp engine, ADAS, and a feature-packed cabin.

Volkswagen has now officially opened bookings for the Tiguan R line in India prior to its launch scheduled for April 14. Powered by a 204 hp turbo-petrol engine, packed with ADAS features, and available in six monotone color options, this performance SUV is indeed quite saucy!

Volkswagen Tiguan R Line Now Available for Booking - Here's What You Should Know

Volkswagen has started booking the Tiguan R Line in India, which is a sportier, more-powerful version of the popular SUV. Pre-booking for interested buyers can be done on Volkswagen's official website or through the dealerships a few days before the model launch on April 14, 2025.

Since they are based on CBU laws, the Tiguan R Line is likely to command a premium price of about ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). Hence, what it offers is great turbo-petrol engine performance, an advanced ADAS suite, and a fully-loaded interior, making it attractive in the premium SUV segment.

Power and Performance: Turbocharged Excitement

The Tiguan R Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, in-line, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that churns out 204 hp and 320 Nm peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DSG) transmission.

With these specifications performing along the lines of:

  • 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

  • Top speed of 229 km/h.

Once again, the Tiguan R Line is one of the fastest SUVs in its category available, providing the power and agility these kinds of enthusiasts are looking for.

Exterior and Colour Options: Sporty Transformation

Volkswagen is making Tiguan R Line available in six monotone color options, giving the buyer ample choice of stylish shades:

  • Persimmon Red Metallic

  • Nightshade Blue Metallic

  • Grenadilla Black Metallic

  • Oryx White Mother Of Pearl Effect

  • Cipressino Green Metallic

  • Oyster Silver Metallic

The R Line badging and sporty elements on the exterior differentiate this model from the regular Tiguan in terms of a more aggressive stance.

Tech-Laden Cabin: Digital displays and ADAS Features

The interiors of the Tiguan R Line are feature-rich and packed with all the latest technology. Key features include:

  • 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster

  • 12.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system with VW's MIB4 OS

  • One-touch OTA

  • Ambient lighting pack

  • Sport seats with premium upholstery

  • Steering-mounted controls and drive selector on the centre console

The Volkswagen Tiguan R Line is armed with an ADAS suite, which includes:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control

  • Lane Keep Assist

  • Automatic Emergency Braking

The SUV also gets dual-zone climate control with controls integrated into the touch screen for a more seamless user experience.

Expected Pricing and Launch Date

With the standard Tiguan CKD variant last being priced at ₹38.17 lakh, the Tiguan R Line is expected to come priced at about ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). With the R Line being a CBU import, it will attract a further premium and will be competing against premium SUVs from within the segment.

Its launch is officially set for April 14, 2025, and deliveries will commence thereafter.

A Sporty, High-Tech Upgrade for the Tiguan

The Volkswagen Tiguan R Line thus appears to turn into a performance-centric, feature-packed premium SUV for buyers who crave the perfect balance of power, technology, and sporty looks. The Tiguan R Line, which features a cool turbo-petrol mill, a tech-laden interior, plus a modern suite of ADAS, will woo enthusiasts looking for an entertaining yet practical SUV.

Bookings are open, so those interested may book their units prior to the official launch on April 14.
