Three major SUVs were introduced in November 2025 by two of the top Indian automakers.
Important details on the Tata Sierra, Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition, and Mahindra XEV 9S, including pricing and launch schedules.
The Tata Sierra has returned and been redesigned for modern consumers after years of anticipation. Launched on November 25, the new Sierra is a mid-size SUV that targets competitors like the Maruti-Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Creta. The starting price is only ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Customers can select from three different powertrains. A 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 106 horsepower and 145 Nm, a 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 118 horsepower and 260–280 Nm, and a 1.5-liter TGDi turbo-petrol engine produces 160 horsepower and 255 Nm.
A triple-screen dashboard, linked LED DRLs, 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos are among the many goodies found within the Sierra. The SUV is based on the ARGOS platform, which Tata plans to utilize for upcoming electric, hybrid, or CNG models.
Delivery is expected to begin on January 15, 2026, with bookings starting on December 16.
Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition, a Perfect Mix of Sporty and Electric
