Honda Amaze Bags 5-Star Rating in Bharat NCAP Program

The Bharat NCAP program has awarded the new Honda Amaze a solid 5-star adult safety rating and a 4-star child occupant rating, solidifying its standing as one of India's safest small sedans. With outstanding results in frontal, side, and dynamic crash tests and standard safety features like six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, and electronic stability control on all models, the Amaze sets a new standard in its class and provides better protection for families and everyday commuters.

  • Under Bharat NCAP, the 2025 Honda Amaze has received a 5-star certification for adult occupant protection (AOP) and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection (COP).

  • Information about safety features, crash test results, and the significance of this rating for Indian buyers of small sedans.

After completing extensive crash testing under Bharat NCAP, the most recent third-generation Honda Amaze received a complete 5-star rating for adult occupant protection (AOP) and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection (COP).

  • Amaze received an AOP score of 28.33 out of 32. It scored 14.33 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, providing adequate protection for the driver and front passenger. Despite the driver's chest protection being graded as "marginal," the side movable deformable barrier test yielded 14 out of 16 marks. The overall 5-star rating was influenced by the side pole-impact test's "OK" result.

  • The Amaze received a rating of 40.81 out of 49 for kid safety. The dynamic crash test received a score of 23.81 out of 24, while the installation of the child restraint system received a perfect score of 12/12. The total performance was excellent enough to earn a 4-star COP rating, despite the vehicle-assessment component being worse (5/13).

Safety Kit and Features for Every Variant

These ratings are strengthened by the fact that all Amaze models, manual and CVT, V, VX, and ZX trims, share a strong safety package. Six airbags (front, side, and curtain), ISOFIX child-seat anchors, electronic stability control (ESC), seat-belt reminders, and a sturdy body construction are among them.

In addition to passive safety, the newest Amaze is among the most reasonably priced ADAS-equipped vehicles in India because it comes with the much-discussed ADAS suite, known as Honda Sensing in the higher trims, which includes features like adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane-keeping assistance, and other driver-assist technologies.

What This Means for Indian Automobile Buyers

This outcome makes the new Amaze a strong competitor in the compact sedan market when it comes to safety, particularly when compared to competitors. Being among the first vehicles to pass Bharat NCAP testing, it establishes a new standard that could affect consumer expectations in price-sensitive markets. Every variation adds value for both everyday travelers and families by providing robust safety gear.

For consumers seeking both practicality and peace of mind, the Amaze now makes a stronger case thanks to its combination of safety performance, features, and the well-established brand legacy.
