A final batch of BMW Z4s will be released by March 2026, marking the end of a legendary roadster. No direct replacement has been guaranteed.
With its distinctive "Frozen Matte Black" appearance, red-accented sporty details, and standard Z4 engine lineup, the rare BMW Z4 Final Edition is probably a collector's vehicle.
With its unique Frozen Matte Black paint treatment and gloss-black accents on the grille, mirror caps, air intakes, and exhaust tips, the Z4 Final Edition has a dramatic new appearance. The performance-focused design is further enhanced by red M Sport brake calipers. The car's interior features an Alcantara-wrapped M-Sport steering wheel, red-contrast stitching on the dashboard, center console, and door pads, Vernasca leather seats with Alcantara inserts, and "Final Edition" door sill plates that highlight the vehicle's limited edition status.
The regular Z4 is still available with the same engines, which are 2.0-liter turbo-petrol units with 197 hp and 258 horsepower and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol with 335 horsepower.
Some models, such as the M40i in some areas, may still come with a six-speed manual gearbox even though the majority of markets get the automatic.
The Significance of the Production End
The Final Edition will be produced in extremely small quantities; worldwide reservations will begin in late January 2026, and manufacturing will run through March of the same year.
This is a momentous occasion: the Z4 convertible, a crucial component of the brand's two-seat roadster heritage, will be phased out, and there is currently no confirmed replacement. This Final Edition is probably seen as a collector's chance by enthusiasts.
Z4 in India: Things Buyers Need to Know
The Z4 is still offered in two versions in India: the M40i and the Pure Impulse Edition. Although the M40i's ex-showroom price starts at ₹87.90 lakh, on-road prices in major cities now hover around ₹1.03 crore.
Pricing and regional availability for the Final Edition have not yet been announced.
A Farewell to a Roadster Icon
The Final Edition Z4 is more than just a different trim level. A beloved roadster from BMW's lineup is being bid farewell. The Final Edition marks the conclusion of the Z4's existence with its unique design, timeless Z4 performance, and restricted production. It might be the last opportunity for enthusiasts of open-top driving and BMW tradition to get a brand-new Z4.
