Tata Motors has officially thrown its hat into the ring by releasing variant-wise pricing and features of the new Harrier EV, claiming it as its most premium electric offering yet.
Initially launched at Rs 21.49 lakh for the base Adventure 65 trim, the Harrier EV is now available in five other variants, with the Empowered QWD 75, expected to bring with it AWD capability, sitting on top.
Pricing and Powertrain Options
The Harrier EV range is priced from Rs 21.49 lakh for the Adventure 65 to Rs 27.49 lakh for the Empowered 75. Pricing for the Empowered QWD 75 is yet to be announced, but it is expected to be the priciest given its dual-motor AWD setup.
65-75kWh battery packs will be on offer. The RWD variants deliver 238hp and 315Nm torque, way under the dual motor AWD setup that churns 313 hp and 504 Nm in the 75kWh variant. Range figures claimed: 538km for 65kWh, 627km for the 75kWh RWD, and 622km for the AWD.
Some Key Features Across the Variants
A well-equipped base 65 Adventure trim with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, six airbags, leatherette upholstery, and lots of active safety and braking tech.
Adventure S 65 adds rain-sensing wipers, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Fearless+ 65/75 has options like a 10-speaker JBL system, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and customizable ambient lighting. The Empowered 75 introduces industry-first features like Level 2 ADAS, Auto Park Assist, and a 14.53-inch QLED touchscreen.
Expected to shine brightest in the electric SUV class will be the Empowered QWD 75 (price to be confirmed), defined by its all-wheel drive, Boost Mode, and exclusive off-road terrain modes.
Segment Edge
The Harrier EV comes loaded with features and several drivetrain options, keeping under the price tag set by competitors like Mahindra XUV.e9 and BYD Atto 3. AWD and high-power output will surely attract enthusiasts who want to enjoy performance without the skeletal range or luxury.
Opening bookings from July 2, 2025, the Harrier EV could well raise the bar for premium electric SUVs in India.
