Tata Curvv Ev You Cant Miss These Features

Tata Curvv EV: You can’t miss these features

Tata Motors' most anticipated car of 2024 Curvv EV has finally arrived in the market, this striking SUV coupe is turning heads with its unique design and promising performance.

The SUV is priced between ₹17.49 lakh and ₹21.99 lakh which also stands as a flagship model in Tata’s electric vehicle lineup. It shares some design similarities with the popular Nexon EV but distinguishes itself with a more premium and sophisticated appearance. Here are some features that stand out:

A Bold and Sophisticated Design

The Tata Curvv EV is built on the Acti. EV platform, which it shares with the Tata Punch EV. This SUV-coupe is a visual treat, thanks to its sleek coupe-like roofline, connected LED lighting at both ends and 18-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels. The flush-type door handles, a first for Tata, further enhance its futuristic appeal. However, despite its eye-catching design, the Curvv EV borrows a bit too much from the Nexon EV, particularly in the front bumper and DRL designs. While this isn't a major drawback, it does make the Curvv EV less distinct than one might expect for a vehicle in its price range.

Interior Comfort: A Mixed Bag

Step inside the Curvv EV, and you'll notice a blend of familiar and new elements. The dashboard layout is reminiscent of the Nexon EV but with added touches like ambient lighting and a 4-spoke steering wheel from the Tata Harrier and Safari. The materials used are of decent quality, but given the Curvv EV’s premium positioning, they could have been better. The interior, while stylish, leaves room for improvement, especially when it comes to overall fit and finish.

One significant issue is the rear seat comfort, particularly for taller passengers. The coupe roofline, while stylish, compromises headroom and knee room, making the back seat less than ideal for anyone over six feet tall. Additionally, the raised floor due to the battery placement results in compromised thigh support, further detracting from the comfort.

Impressive Boot Space

On the practical side, the Curvv EV impresses with its boot space. The extended wheelbase has been utilized well, providing a generous 500 liters of luggage capacity. The powered tailgate with gesture control adds to the convenience, making it easy to access the boot even when your hands are full. For those needing more space, the rear seats can be folded down in a 60:40 split, expanding the cargo area further.

Driving Performance: A Step Up from the Nexon EV

Tata offers the Curvv EV with two battery options: a 45 kWh medium-range variant and a 55 kWh long-range variant. The latter, which we had the chance to drive, comes with a 167 PS electric motor. The Curvv EV delivers a smooth and refined driving experience, particularly in city and eco modes. It’s user-friendly, making it a great option even for those new to electric vehicles. However, it’s in sports mode where the Curvv EV truly shines, offering a performance that feels more dynamic and responsive than the Nexon EV. This makes it an appealing choice for those seeking a more engaging drive.

In Summary, The Tata Curvv EV is a strong contender in the electric vehicle market, offering a blend of style, practicality, and performance. Its sophisticated design and impressive boot space are major selling points, and it certainly feels like an upgrade from the Nexon EV in terms of driving dynamics. However, its interior could benefit from higher-quality materials and the rear seat comfort leaves something to be desired, especially for taller passengers. Despite these drawbacks, the Curvv EV is a promising step forward for Tata in the electric vehicle space, appealing to those looking for a stylish and capable SUV coupe.
