Tata Altroz Facelift Launches at ₹6.89 Lakh with New Features and Engine Options

Tata Motors has officially launched the updated 2025 Altroz facelift with prices starting at ₹6.89 lakh in India. The new Altroz gets huge styling updates, a longer features list, engine options of petrol, Diesel, CNG, and a new AMT gearbox. The premium hatchback is available in four trims and the bookings will begin on June 2, 2025.

Tata Motors has launched the updated Altroz facelift at an introductory price of ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated premium hatchback features a completely new look, more equipment, and still boasts petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrains. Customers will be able to book the 2025 Altroz from June 2, 2025.

The facelifted Altroz is offered in four different trims – Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished, with the mid-range Pure and Creative trims offering a sunroof equipped ‘S’ variant. The Accomplished +S variant is now offered only with petrol-DCT combination, and an AMT as an option for selected petrol variants.

Refreshed Exterior and Premium Interior Upgrades

On the exterior, the 2025 Altroz facelift has a new front grille, redesigned LED headlamps with DRLs and a new bumper. The back has T-shaped LED tail-lamps connected by an LED light bar, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and illuminated flush door handles. Five color choices are available: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Royal Blue.

On the interior, the Altroz facelift has some premium bits that can be seen on some of Tata's other SUV products, like the Nexon and Curvv. It gets a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible.

Top variants have 360-degree camera, cruise control, rear AC vents, USB charger, and Harman 8-speaker system.

Engine Options & Transmission Choices

The engine line-up doesn't change; 1.2-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine, and 1.2-litre CNG engine. The new part is that the 1.2-litre petrol gets an automated manual transmission (AMT) option to add even more flexibility to budget buyers. DCT automatic gearbox is additionally available in the higher petrol variants, while diesel and CNG versions are limited to manual transmission only.

The Altroz keeps up its safety credentials with the inclusion of six airbags and ESP, standard across the range. Although the Altroz Racer, with a 120hp turbo-petrol engine variant, is not yet available with the facelifted version, Tata may still offer it in the future.

With an improved range, evolved styling and enhanced tech, the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is set to consolidate Tata's position in the premium hatchback segment.
