The Skoda Elroq is marketed as the fastest charging Skoda ever with 185kW DC charging, which allows for 10-80 percent in 26 minutes and is available in exclusive mamba colour with a vRS badging and black accents. This car produces 340hp and can accelerate from 0-100kph in 5.4 seconds
As the new top-of-the-range Elroq model, the vRS receives a 52hp bump over the non-vRS models, thanks to its dual-motor configuration, shared with the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. The combined output is 340hp, which, when sent to all four wheels, enables the Elroq vRS to record a 0-100kph time of 5.4 seconds. Non-vRS Elroq models require 1.2 seconds longer for the same. Skoda also states that the Elroq vRS features two new exterior sounds - Sport and Futuristic.
Maximum range takes a hit and the charging speeds make up for it
The Elroq vRS shares the same 84kWh battery pack as the earlier top-of-the-range 85 model, but its more sporting nature has taken 32km off the WLTP-tested range to leave 550km. Conversely, the Elroq vRS is Skoda's quickest charging vehicle to date, with its 185kW DC rapid charger delivering a 10-80 percent refill in 26 minutes. 11kW AC charging takes eight hours to charge the battery from 0-100 percent.
Suspension and Chassis of the car
Apart from the powertrain improvements, Elroq vRS features a marginally firmer "sports" chassis, and its suspension has been lowered by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear. The steering setup has been retuned accordingly, and the Elroq vRS also features more potent two-piston caliper front brakes.
Skoda Elroq vRS exterior design
Although the Elroq vRS's appearance is otherwise little different from the regular all-electric crossover, it is subject to plenty of distinctive touches. Foremost among these is the Mamba Green paint finish reserved for the vRS, a redesigned front bumper with body-coloured trim and honeycomb-patterned air dam, vRS badges on the front fenders, blacked-out Skoda lettering and roof rails, and lit-up slat designs on the grille cover.
Skoda Elroq vRS interior design
Internally, the Elroq vRS is distinguished from the regular variants by way of bright green accents and Alcantara trim for the dashboard, seats, center console, armrest, etc. The 5-inch all-digital driver's display and 13-inch infotainment touchscreen also receive vRS-specific graphics, along with the optional augmented reality heads-up display.
Skoda Elroq vRS launch Details
The Elroq vRS is going to hit global markets later this summer, but there's no announcement on if it'll hit our shores. The basic Elroq was launched by Skoda at Auto Expo 2025 just to gauge customer interest, though finalizing the launch of the all-electric crossover in the country has not yet been decided.
Conclusion
The Skoda Elroq vRS represents a major step up for the brand, uniting high-performance ability with the latest EV technology. With its 340hp twin-motor powertrain, quick-charging abilities, and aggressive design, it is Skoda's most thrilling electric model yet. Although range is compromised slightly as a result of its performance bias, the Elroq vRS compensates with its scorching acceleration and quick charging time. Whether it comes in more markets or not, though, it secures Skoda's dedication to electrified performance and innovation at this point.
