Renault Kiger And Triber: What Are The Changes?
Both cars are devoid of modification in design, but the most important highlight is that they are now processed regarding features and made even more easily accessible.
Here are all the particulars mentioned above:
Renault came up with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the first model that will be available beyond the base RXL variant, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Central locking doors and all four powered windows are now made available standard across all variants for both cars.
15-inch hyper-style steel wheels that give an alloy-like appearance now come with the RXT variants of both models.
The top-end turbo-petrol engine-equipped Renault Kiger RXZ is now available with remote engine start.
No feature changes for either model apart from the aforementioned upgrades.
Renault Kiger And Triber: Engine Option Explained
Both the Kiger and Triber engine sets are now E20 compliant. Their technicals are as follows:
Engine | Renault Kiger And Triber 1-litre N/A petrol | Renault Kiger 1-litre turbo petrol |
---|---|---|
Power | 72 PS | 100 PS |
Torque | 96 Nm | Up to 160 Nm |
Transmission | 5-speed MT/AMT | 5-speed MT / CVT |
N/A - Naturally aspirated
CVT - Continuously variable transmission
AMT - Automated manual transmission
The addition of a turbo-petrol engine to the petrol engine option has widened the choice available for Kiger over that available for Triber, since Triber and Kiger share a single, naturally aspirated three-cylinder, 1-litre petrol engine.
Rivals
Renault Kiger goes up against challengers such as the Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Nexon in the highly competitive sub-4m SUV bandwagon. It also competes with other models such as Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Fronx, and Toyota Taisor.
The Renault Triber cannot compete directly with any other vehicle but can be considered a seven-seater alternative to the likes of Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
