MG M9 Electric MPV Unveiled: Specs and Launch Details.

MG Motor India’s luxury electric MG M9 MPV was recently spied undisguised, showcasing its stunning design and advanced technology ahead of its much-awaited March 2025 debut.

MG Moto India is speeding up their game with their eco-friendly and luxury blended MG M9 MPV. It was recently spotted, expected to be a blast package, undisguised at a dealership and is set to be an all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

This MPV was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, The M9 is set to redefine premium travel in India, and we’ve got the inside scoop on what makes it so special.

A Stylish Arrival: Design and Colors

The MG M9 is expected to have a modern, eye-catching design which is built to turn heads wherever it goes. There are three stunning colors available for you to choose: Cardiff Black, Luminous White, and Mystic Grey.

The spied model, painted in Mystic Grey, oozes sophistication with its smooth lines and polished finish. Picture this: sleek LED daytime running lights, automatic sliding doors, and 19-inch alloy wheels that give it a bold, confident stance.

Power Packed: Performance and Range

The MG M9 is also expected to be powered by a hefty 90kWh battery pack, offering a driving range of around 430 kilometers on a single charge, which, by the way, is enough to take you from Delhi to Jaipur.

Also, with 241 horsepower and 350 Newton meters of torque, this front-wheel-drive MPV delivers a smooth yet powerful ride. Plus, it supports DC fast charging—going from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

For a full charge using an 11kW charger, you’re looking at about 8.5 hours, which is perfect for an overnight top-up.

Inside the M9: Comfort Meets Innovation

Step inside, and the MG M9 feels like a luxury lounge on wheels. The second-row seats are the real stars—reclining ottoman-style with heating, ventilation, and eight massage settings.

Imagine relaxing with a massage while controlling it all from a sleek touchscreen panel. The dashboard keeps things simple yet high-tech, featuring two digital screens: one for the driver’s info and another for entertainment. With wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, staying connected is a breeze.

Safety? Covered. The M9 comes loaded with seven airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution (ABS with EBD), electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera. It even has Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, making every drive safer and smarter.

Taking on the Big Players

The MG M9 isn’t entering the market quietly—it’s here to challenge the likes of the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. While those are traditional petrol or diesel-powered MPVs, the M9 brings an all-electric edge to the luxury segment.

India’s push for greener transport, backed by government incentives, makes this the perfect time for MG to roll out a vehicle like this.

With electric vehicle sales in India growing—over 90,000 EVs were sold in 2023 alone. According to the Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles—the M9 is poised to ride the wave of demand.

Where to Get It: MG Select Dealerships

You won’t find the MG M9 at just any showroom. MG Motor India is launching it through their premium MG Select dealerships, designed to match the vehicle’s upscale vibe. These showrooms promise a top-notch buying experience with personalized service.

Starting with 12 locations in major cities, MG plans to expand to smaller cities later, ensuring more people can get behind the wheel of this beauty.

Launch Date and Price Tag

Mark your calendars—the MG M9 is expected to hit Indian roads in March 2025. Priced between ₹65 lakh and ₹70 lakh, it’s a competitive option for anyone looking to combine luxury with sustainability.

Compared to the Kia Carnival (starting at ₹40 lakh) and the Toyota Vellfire (around ₹1.2 crore), the M9 sits nicely in the middle, offering electric efficiency without breaking the bank.

Spotlight at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

The MG M9 first stole the show at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, a massive event highlighting the future of India’s automotive industry. Alongside the sporty Cyberster, it showcased MG’s bold vision for electric mobility.

With thousands of attendees and industry experts in awe, the expo set the stage for the M9’s big debut, proving MG is serious about leading the charge in India’s EV revolution.

Why the MG M9 Matters

India’s roads are changing. With EV charging stations popping up over 6,000 nationwide by mid-2024, per the Bureau of Energy Efficiency—and a government goal of 30% electric vehicles by 2030, the timing couldn’t be better.

The MG M9 isn’t just a car; it’s a glimpse into a cleaner, smarter future. Known globally as the Maxus Mifa 9, it’s already a hit in other markets, and now it’s India’s turn to experience its magic.

In a nutshell, the MG M9 MPV is a game-changer. From its elegant design and plush interiors to its eco-friendly performance, it’s built for those who want luxury without compromise. Whether you’re a family looking for a spacious ride or a professional wanting a standout vehicle, the MG M9 has something for everyone. Get ready—luxury mobility is about to go electric!
