The Most Extreme Defender Yet – Power, Luxury & Rugged Performance. With a twin-turbo V8, advanced off-road tech, and high-end luxury, the Defender Octa is Land Rover’s most powerful and capable Defender ever.

The all-new Land Rover Defender Octa has finally landed in India, setting the benchmark for power, luxury, and off-road capabilities in any SUV. Starting from ₹2.59 crore, this high-performance SUV is nothing short of the ultimate evolution of the legendary model Defender.

The Most Powerful Defender Ever

The Defender is infused with high performance engineering but still carries the rugged DNA of Defenders. The Defender Octa premier in India comes at a starting price of ₹2.59 crore (ex-showroom) and for those who desire something more unique, there's even the short-run Edition One at ₹2.79 crore. This one is manufactured only for the first year of production and features unique design touches. It was conceived as being the most extreme Defender ever created.

A complete redesign of a chassis was made followed by the performance suspension tuning that had all the state of the art tech under it to boost on-road and off-road capability.

A Powerhouse Under the Hood

The Defender Octa has at its very core, 4.4-litre twin turbocharged mild hybrid V8 engine that produces ferocious 626 bhp as well as 800 Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4 seconds, which makes it one of the fastest Defenders in history.

Land Rover has outfitted the Octa with 6D Dynamic suspension to accommodate all this strength under control of body roll in all directions making it more stable. Compared with Defender standard, the Octa is wider and taller with increased ground clearance and the best capable defender.

The Defender Octa is designed to perform in the most extreme environments and includes:

  • An Added 68mm Width for an Even More Aggressive Stance

  • 28mm Higher Ride Height, Meaning Excellent Off-Road Prowess

  • One-Metre-Deep Water Wading The Deepest Wading Defender Ever

  • Massive ground clearance of 323 mm for extreme off-road use

All-terrain tyres engineered specifically for the demands of this vehicle range from 20 to 22 inches, ensuring the best traction in all circumstances.

Impressive Design with Exclusive Details

The Defender Octa is not only about power but makes a concerted style statement. The design elements include:

  • Modified front and rear bumpers for improved angles of approach departing

  • Extended wheel arches and from-an-aggressive angle quad-tip exhausts

  • Special encircled diamond graphics on each Signature Graphic panel

Four exterior colors are available by buyers:

  • Exclusive Petra Copper and Faroe Green

  • Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey

  • Gloss Narvik Black contrast roof and tailgate

  • Optional matte protective film for a rugged finish
