With the unveiling of the production-ready Concept AMG GT XX high-performance electric vehicle, Mercedes-Benz will stir up the electric vehicle market, set to launch the car in the Indian market by 2026.
The Concept AMG GT XX unveiled worldwide on June 20 is being heralded as a flashy view of the future of Mercedes-Benz top-tier electric saloons and as a preview of the next-generation EQS or perhaps even a new sub-brand of EVs.
Next-Gen Top-of-the-line with Jaw-Dropping Power
The presence of a tri-motor powertrain that produces an absolute raw of 1,360bhp makes the hottest EV one of the most powerful, in terms of power production, production-bound EVs around the globe.
Also, with next-level torque and opulent acceleration, the AMG GT XX will be competing in the field of hypercars, but the only difference is that it will be using four doors and the level of comfort as observed with limousines.
Although the entire technical specs are still under curtain, power output alone can make it a vehicle in a club of its kind. The car is not only evidence of the engineering capabilities of Mercedes-AMG but also proof of its deadly seriousness in the area of high-performance electric mobility.
India Launch Solidified
The increasing demand for luxury EVs in India, especially the top-end models, has positioned the nation as an attractive market to introduce high-end products such as the AMG GT XX and halo models. This is a logical step as Mercedes-Benz India has already been facing an upward demand in premium electric cars.
More Than Just a One-Off
Concept AMG GT XX is more than a drawing exercise. It is a display of high-tech solutions and performance features, and future design styling language being carried out into the Mercedes lineup until it affects not only the electric but also the internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. Whether it be full-blown aggressive aerodynamics, next-generation interiors and digital experiences, you can expect trickle-down solutions in the next generation of Mercs.
As it has already been confirmed in India, the Mercedes AMG GT XX will bring both performance extremes and the luxury DNA that the company is so famous may bring the next sequel in the evolution of EV.
