Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition Launched, Brings Starting Price Down To Rs 5.49 Lakh

[Maruti Suzuki(https://parkplus.io/new-cars/maruti-car) has launched a special edition of its popular Ignis hatchback, the Radiance edition, which brings the starting price down to Rs 5.49 lakh from the previous Rs 5.84 lakh. This edition is available with all variants except the mid-spec Delta and offers a range of accessories to enhance the car's appeal.

Ignis Radiance Edition: What Does It Get?

The base-spec Sigma Radiance edition comes with:

  • All-wheel covers

  • Door visors

  • Body side molding in chrome

These additions cost Rs 3,650, compared to Rs 5,320 if purchased separately. For the higher-spec Zeta or Alpha variants, the Radiance edition includes:

  • Seat covers

  • Cushions

  • Door cladding

  • Door visor

These accessories cumulatively amount to Rs 9,500, offering a discount from the individual price of Rs 11,971.

More About The Ignis

The Ignis, introduced in 2017, was one of the initial products from Maruti’s premium Nexa chain. It received a midlife refresh in 2020 and is available in four broad variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

Powertrain On Offer

The Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 83 PS and 113 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission), both claiming a fuel efficiency of 20.89 kmpl.

  • Height-adjustable driver seat

  • Keyless entry

  • Dual front airbags

The Maruti Ignis Radiance edition starts at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and competes with:

  • Tata Tiago

  • Maruti Wagon R

  • Maruti Celerio

It also serves as an alternative to micro SUVs like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.

This special edition aims to attract more buyers with its enhanced features and competitive pricing, maintaining Ignis's reputation as a versatile and affordable hatchback in the Indian market.
