Maruti Ertiga Prices Increased – Here’s What’s Changed

Maruti Suzuki revises the prices of the Ertiga, increasing costs by up to ₹15,000 across all variants. The popular MPV now starts at ₹8.84 lakh (ex-showroom).

If you’ve been eyeing the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, you might have to shell out a little more. Maruti has revised the prices of its popular MPV, increasing costs by up to ₹15,000 across different variants. This move is part of a broader price adjustment across the brand’s lineup, effective from February 2025.

New Price Structure

The base LXi (O) variant of the Ertiga has seen the highest price jump, with an increase of ₹15,000. Meanwhile, all other variants have received a uniform price hike of ₹10,000. Following this revision, the Ertiga is now priced between ₹8.84 lakh and ₹13.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

Here’s how the updated pricing stands:

VariantOld Price (₹ lakh)New Price (₹ lakh)Difference (₹)
LXi (O)8.698.84+15,000
VXi9.899.99+10,000
VXi CNG10.4410.54+10,000
ZXi10.9911.09+10,000
ZXi+12.9913.09+10,000
ZXi+ AT13.0313.13+10,000

Why the Price Hike?

Maruti has been gradually increasing prices across its model range due to rising input costs, inflation, and updates to safety standards. The Ertiga remains a strong performer in the MPV segment, known for its spacious cabin, fuel efficiency, and reliability.

Despite the hike, it still offers great value for money compared to its competitors like the Kia Carens and Toyota Rumion.

Safety Updates on the Horizon

Maruti has been actively improving safety features across its lineup. Recently, the Celerio was upgraded with six airbags as standard, making it the third Maruti model to receive this update after the Swift and Dzire. While the Ertiga hasn’t received a similar update yet, it is expected that Maruti might roll out six airbags in more models soon, including the Ertiga.

Should You Buy the Ertiga Now?

Despite the price hike, the Ertiga remains a compelling choice for families looking for a practical and fuel-efficient MPV. With its proven 1.5L petrol engine, Smart Hybrid tech, and factory-fitted CNG option, it continues to be a well-rounded offering in the segment. If you’re considering buying an Ertiga, it might be wise to book one now before any further price revisions.

Stay tuned for more updates on Maruti’s latest models, price changes, and upcoming safety features!
