Mahindra's Electric Revolution: BE 6 and XEV 9e Unveiled

Mahindra pushes the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, showcasing a revolutionary approach to design, performance, and manufacturing with its new BE 6 and XEV 9e models, aimed at making luxury EVs more accessible and technologically advanced.

Mahindra recently hosted its Unlimit India Tech Day at the Chakan plant, providing an exclusive look into its ambitious electric vehicle strategy. The event highlighted two flagship models, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which represent the company's vision to democratize luxury electric vehicles and revolutionize EV technology.

The carmaker demonstrated its commitment to innovation through ten key features, including coast-to-coast screens, a race-ready digital cockpit, an AI hub, a unique illuminated glass roof, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system curated by AR Rahman.

Technological highlights include Level 2 ADAS, facial recognition, 360-degree cameras, and advanced autopark capabilities.

Notably, Mahindra's battery assembly plant showcases remarkable achievements, with a 79kWh battery pack achieving 141.55 Wh/kg energy density. The Chakan facility stands out as one of the world's most compact and 98% automated battery manufacturing lines, underlining the company's technological prowess.

The dedicated 88,000 square metre EV plant features over 500 robots, fully automated press, body, and paint shops, demonstrating Mahindra's commitment to precision manufacturing and the 'Make in India for the World' initiative.

With plans to produce 5,000 units of each model monthly, Mahindra is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market, offering cutting-edge technology and luxury at an accessible price point.
