Mahindra Xuv 3xo Achieves 5 Star Bharat Ncap Safety Rating A Benchmark In Sub Compact Suv Safety

Mahindra XUV 3XO Achieves 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating: A Benchmark in Sub-Compact SUV Safety

In a significant achievement for Mahindra, the XUV 3XO has secured a stellar five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. This accomplishment solidifies the SUV’s position as one of the safest vehicles in the sub-compact SUV segment.

Competing with popular rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue, the XUV 3XO stands out as a benchmark for both adult and child occupant protection.

The Bharat NCAP tests awarded the XUV 3XO five-star ratings in both the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories. This recognition places it alongside other safety leaders tested by Bharat NCAP, including the Tata Curvv, Citroen Basalt, and Tata Curvv EV.

Impressive Scores in Safety Tests

The Mahindra XUV 3XO achieved an impressive 29.36 points out of 32 in the AOP test, demonstrating its ability to protect adult passengers effectively. For COP, it scored 43 out of 49, reflecting its commitment to safeguarding younger passengers. These scores underline Mahindra’s dedication to delivering top-notch safety features as standard across its models.

The vehicle’s performance in individual crash scenarios was equally commendable. In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, it scored 13.36 points out of 16. In the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, it achieved a flawless 16 out of 16. The SUV also excelled in the Side Pole Impact Test, providing robust protection for all occupants.

Safety Features That Make the Difference

The XUV 3XO was equipped with advanced safety features during testing, including front airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners, and load limiters for the driver and front passenger. Side head curtain airbags for both front and rear passengers added an extra layer of security. Other standard safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection measures, and seat belt reminder alerts, ensuring a comprehensive safety package.

Variants That Shine

The Bharat NCAP has clarified that the five-star safety rating applies to specific variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, including MX2 Pro, MX3 Pro, AX7L, AX7 Pro, and AX7L Pro. Importantly, the safety rating covers both petrol and diesel engine variants, ensuring that safety is consistent across the lineup.

A Commitment to Safety Excellence

Mahindra’s achievement with the XUV 3XO highlights its focus on delivering safe, reliable vehicles to Indian consumers. By earning a five-star Bharat NCAP rating, the XUV 3XO raises the bar for safety in the sub-compact SUV category, setting new standards for competitors to follow.
