Mahindra has taken the wraps off the Thar.e concept and it gets five-doors
The Mahindra Thar.e concept has been revealed by the company in Cape Town, South Africa. The SUV has an upright stance, the front section gets squared-out LED headlamps and the front steel bumper has “Thar.e” lettering. The SUV has angular finishes across the body which gives it a boxy appearance.
The Mahindra Thar.e SUV will be available in both five-door and three-door layouts. It uses the new Inglo-P1 platform and there are two wheelbase options - 2775 mm and 2975 mm depending upon the kind of seating configuration.
The rear section of Thar.e gets the same squared-out LED tail lamp unit, bold rear bumper and the spare wheel integrated on the back giving the SUV a rugged look. Mahindra Thar.e SUV will use a sizable battery coupled to a twin motor unit. It is likely to have a driving range around 400 km. We can expect 4WD features with drive modes as well.
The cabin is likely to get a sizable touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, and storage spaces for your spare change and other essentials.
This is the concept and the production model is likely to undergo many more changes before the SUV is introduced to the market.
