Lotus Eletre Roars into India: A Glimpse through 8 Captivating Photos

Lotus Eletre Roars into India: A Glimpse through 8 Captivating Photos

Lotus, the iconic automotive marque, has officially marked its debut in India, unveiling the spectacular Eletre SUV as its opening act. Priced at a competitive starting point of Rs. 2.55 crore (ex-showroom), this high-performance electric SUV comes in Standard, S, and R trims, offering an impressive range of up to 600km on a single charge.

The Eletre's exterior departs from traditional Lotus aesthetics, featuring boomerang-like LED DRLs, low-set headlamps, and a commanding front fascia. The redesigned black and white Lotus logo proudly graces the centre, signalling a new era for the brand.

In profile, the Eletre embraces European design cues, flaunting flared wheel arches, 21-inch wheels, and pop-out door handles concealing the charge port door on the left side. A notable inclusion is the LIDAR sensor discreetly placed in the front wheel arch cut-out.

The rear of the Eletre showcases a massive light bar with prominent Lotus lettering, complemented by large air vents and a distinctive split rear aero element on the glass house's edge.

Inside, the cabin exudes elegance with a grey and black colour scheme, highlighted by gold inserts on the centre console, doors, and steering wheel. The focal point is the expansive 20-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system with 3D graphics, serving as the command centre for the vehicle's myriad functions.

The second row offers ample space for two occupants to luxuriate despite its raised floor. The generously sized boot, equipped with an auto opening/closing function, reinforces practicality, making it accessible inside the car and on the boot door.

Under the hood, the Eletre boasts dual electric motors coupled with a potent 112kWh battery pack, delivering a staggering 930bhp/1,000Nm with all-wheel drive (AWD). Its impressive 0-100kmph acceleration time of just 2.95 seconds places it in the league of traditional internal combustion engine hypercars. The Lotus Eletre marks a bold step into the future, combining electrifying performance with the timeless elegance that defines the Lotus legacy.
