Kia is gearing up to launch two major models in India on October 3, 2024: the facelifted Kia Carnival MPV and the all-electric Kia EV9 SUV.
Kia Carnival
The Carnival is expected to start at around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) and will initially be imported, with local assembly planned later. The India-bound Carnival will likely feature a 2.2-liter diesel engine, similar to its international variant. The MPV will be packed with features like dual 12.3-inch displays, a head-up display, a digital key with fingerprint recognition, ambient lighting, and multiple seating configurations ranging from 7- to 11-seater options.
Kia EV9
The EV9, which will be Kia's most expensive offering in India, is a three-row electric SUV built on the e-GMP platform. This model will likely feature both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD powertrain options. Its bold, upright design follows the trend of other newer Kia models, offering a distinctive look that aligns with the brand's latest design language.
Both models are expected to cater to the premium segment, with the Carnival facing no direct rivals and the EV9 positioned as a luxury electric SUV.
With the launch just around the corner, stay tuned for more updates on the pricing and availability of these two exciting new models from Kia.
