The much-hyped Carens Clavis EV is coming to the interiors of Kia India as the company is preparing to add to its electric car portfolio on July 15, 2025.
Being highly practical and inexpensive, this zero-emission MPV will attract Indian families seeking a sustainable and environment-friendly way of transport without sacrificing any space, car features, or mileage.
Certified Range 490km with 51.4kWh Battery
Carens Clavis EV has one of the best highlights, which is the 490km ARAI-certified range, owing to the 51.4kWh battery pack. Though the expectation is that the figures in the real world would be between 350km and 420km, this makes the Clavis EV one of the most long-range e-MPVs in its category.
Kia will also include the smaller battery pack to use in the lower trims and increase its availability even further.
High-quality Goods and Family Space
Kia is not sparing on comforts either. The teasers show an elegant cabin that has a floating centre console, twin 12.3-inch digital displays, a two-spoke steering wheel, ambient lights, and dual climate control.
Other features that stand out are white upholstery, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and a 3-row, 7-seater, which makes it suited to both urban families and long-distance driving.
Expected Pricing and Market Positioning
And, with the company estimating the Carens Clavis EV to cost between Rs. 20 lakh and Rs. 26 lakh (ex-showroom), the electric-powered vehicle will straight-up compete with the BYD e6 and the soon-to-be-launched electric Hyundai Creta. It will also become the second mainstream electric MPV that follows BYD eMax 7 and make Kia an early mover in this category.
To conclude, the Kia Carens Clavis EV seems to be a good combination of range, technology, comfort, and usability, which is likely to become a game-changer in the ever-expanding electric vehicle industry in India.
