India's Mini Aceman EV is expected to launch in 2026, making it a small electric crossover

In 2026, Mini plans to launch the all-electric Aceman in India, which would be a significant milestone in the company's EV development. The Aceman, which sits between the Cooper and Countryman, blends small size, increased functionality, and contemporary design. With a stated range of up to 405 kilometers, it is available worldwide with a variety of battery and performance options. The Aceman might appeal to high-end urban consumers looking for a unique electric crossover experience if it were introduced as a CBU.

  • In 2026, a Mini Aceman EV with a stated range of up to 405 km is anticipated in India.

  • With its sleek design and contemporary interior technology, it sits between the Mini Cooper and the Countryman.

Mini is getting ready to debut its all-electric Aceman crossover in India in 2026. The Aceman, which fits between the Cooper and Countryman models in Mini's global lineup, will be the company's first EV-only model of this size. It is anticipated to be imported into India as a completely constructed vehicle.

An Urban Buyer's Electric Mini

When the Aceman debuted on the international scene in April 2024, it immediately attracted notice for being entirely electric. This little electric crossover strikes a mix between functionality and Mini's distinctive architectural flair, building on the architecture of other new Mini EVs.

Due to its greater length, width, and wheelbase, the Aceman is marginally bigger than the Cooper hatchback and offers additional interior room. Its rough body cladding, square wheel arches, sharper headlamps, and rectangular LED taillights give it a unique road appearance without being unduly big or SUV-like.

Battery, Performance, and Range

In areas outside of India, the Aceman is anticipated to be available with two different battery pack configurations, offering performance and range versatility.

A larger battery with a 218-horsepower engine can travel up to 405 kilometers on a single charge, while the entry-level model has a WLTP-claimed range of roughly 309 km when paired with a smaller battery and an 184-horsepower motor.

Additionally, a John Cooper Works (JCW) model with even greater output and faster acceleration is available.

With a sizable central OLED display and a cutting-edge infotainment system intended to attract tech-savvy consumers, the Aceman's interior reflects the new technology seen in other new Minis.

What This Signifies for India

With the growing popularity of electric cars in India, Mini's launch of the Aceman gives consumers seeking a small, fashionable EV crossover yet another high-end choice. Its anticipated 2026 release may make it a desirable option for people looking for a combination of unique style, electric driving range, and cutting-edge technology.
