India launches the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition at ₹23.69 lakh

Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6 Formula E Edition, a unique electric SUV model inspired by motorsports, in India. This version, which starts at ₹23.69 lakh, has a potent 79 kWh battery, striking design improvements, unique interior décor, and a stated range of up to 683 km. Additionally, it provides early-buyer perks, including track experiences and awards with a Formula E theme. The BE 6 Formula E Edition is intended to appeal to EV purchasers looking for more excitement with its eye-catching appearance and improved amenities.

  • The price, availability, and versions of the recently introduced Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition in India.

  • The design features, technical details, and exclusive advantages for first-time purchasers.

  • Official booking will open from January 14, 2026.

With the introduction of the BE 6 Formula E Edition in India, automaker Mahindra has expanded its array of electric SUVs with a unique "motorsport-inspired" trim. The base FE2 model of the new edition costs ₹23.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the more expensive FE3 trim costs ₹24.49 lakh.

What's fresh, both inside and out

The BE 6 Formula E Edition has a dramatic exterior overhaul. It has more aggressive front and rear bumpers, a boot-lid spoiler, a faux skid plate made of brushed aluminum, new headlamps, unique paint and decals, wheel and hood stripes, an orange tow hook, red brake callipers, and a Formula E insignia at the back. This edition is available in Tango Red, Firestorm Orange, Everest White, and Stealth Black.

Transparent door panels, carbon-fiber-style embellishments, orange highlights on the steering, center console buttons, door handles, Formula E badges on the dashboard and seats, and a themed start-up animation are just a few of the motorsport-inspired interior features Mahindra has included. Twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster are part of the overall cabin arrangement, which is nonetheless comparable to the regular BE 6.

Performance, features, and powertrain

Only the larger 79 kWh battery pack and a rear-wheel drive electric motor with 286 horsepower (about 282 bhp) and 380 Nm of torque are included with the Formula E Edition. Up to 683 kilometres can be covered on a single charge (MIDC cycle).

Dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, automatic headlamps and wipers, a fixed glass roof, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a high-end audio system, a cooled armrest console, and a 360-degree camera are all features that are carried over from the standard BE 6. Larger 20-inch wheels and adaptive suspension are additional features of the FE3 model.

With six airbags, blind-spot monitoring, driver drowsiness detection, tyre pressure monitoring, parking sensors, and a high-stiffness body shell, safety is still strong.

Special perks for early buyers

Mahindra is providing exclusive incentives to the first 999 BE 6 Formula E Edition buyers, which include:

  • A track-day experience at the company's proving site

  • A collector's box filled with branded memorabilia

  • The ability to select a unique number (0–99) for a side-door decal

  • The opportunity to have their name on the company's Formula E race car for the London E-Prix.

Three fortunate purchasers will also get a custom roof decal, a meet-and-greet with the racing crew, plus tickets and paddock access to the London E-Prix 2026.

When will it be available?

On December 14, 2025, the BE 6 Formula E Edition will be offered for "Add to Cart." Official booking opens on January 14, 2026, and delivery commences on February 14, 2026.
