Hyundai Launches Exter Knight Edition At Indian Rupee 8 Lakh 38 Thousand A Bold New Addition For Gen Z And Millennials

Hyundai Launches Exter Knight Edition at ₹8.38 Lakh: A Bold New Addition for Gen Z and Millennials

Celebrating the first anniversary of its Exter SUV, Hyundai has launched the much-anticipated Exter Knight Edition at an attractive starting price of ₹8.38 lakh. The Exter Knight Edition joins the exclusive Knight Edition lineup, following in the footsteps of the popular Creta and Venue SUVs. Hyundai’s latest offering aims to captivate the imaginations of Gen Z and millennial car buyers with its striking design and unique features.

Hyundai Exter Knight Edition

The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is aimed at a more distinctive look with a stand-out dark theme. The front grille is mostly blackout, while the fog lamp casing gets red ‘strikes’ both on the front and rear bumpers. While the familiar solid grey skid plates are no longer featured here, the otherwise standard Exter has new all-black ones that add to the SUV’s muscular appeal. At the vanguard of the cars, the SX (O) houses 15-inch black alloy wheels that provide an added aggressive outlook.

In addition to these features, the Knight Edition boasts several exclusive enhancements. These include red front brake callipers, a black metal finish on the Hyundai and Exter badges, and a unique Knight Emblem on the tailgate, all of which contribute to its distinctive identity.

Diverse Colour Options

The Exter Knight Edition is available in a variety of colour options to suit different tastes. It offers five monotone and two dual-tone colour schemes: Starry Night, Atlas White, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Shadow Grey, Ranger Khaki with Abyss Black roof, and Shadow Grey with Abyss Black roof. These colours complement the vehicle's bold design, allowing buyers to personalize their SUV according to their preferences.

Interior Enhancements

The cabin of the Exter Knight Edition continues the dark theme with an all-black interior. Red inserts on the air conditioning vents, climate control, and upholstery add a sporty touch to the interior. Even the internal door handles are painted black, maintaining the cohesive design. These interior enhancements are not just aesthetic but also create a more immersive and engaging driving experience.

Specifications

Under the hood, the Exter Knight Edition retains the same mechanical specifications as the standard Exter. It is powered by an 82 bhp 1.2-litre Kappa naturally aspirated petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission and an automated manual transmission (AMT) gearbox, offering flexibility based on their driving preferences.

Pricing and Variants

The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is available in multiple variants, catering to different needs and budgets. Here’s a breakdown of the ex-showroom prices for the various models:

Manual Transmission (MT) Variants:

  • SX: ₹8.38 lakh

  • SX (Dual Tone): ₹8.62 lakh

  • SX (O) Connect: ₹9.71 lakh

  • SX (O) Connect (Dual Tone): ₹9.86 lakh

Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) Variants:

  • SX: ₹9.05 lakh

  • SX (Dual Tone): ₹9.30 lakh

  • SX (O) Connect: ₹10.15 lakh

  • SX (O) Connect (Dual Tone): ₹10.43 lakh

These prices make the Exter Knight Edition an attractive option for buyers looking for a stylish and well-equipped SUV without breaking the bank.

Targeting the Younger Generation

Hyundai believes that the bold and sporty design of the Exter Knight Edition will resonate strongly with Gen Z and millennial buyers. These younger consumers are often drawn to unique and eye-catching designs, and the Exter Knight Edition delivers on both fronts. With its aggressive styling, exclusive features, and a range of colour options, the Exter Knight Edition is poised to become a favourite among young car enthusiasts.

Conclusion

The launch of the Exter Knight Edition marks a significant milestone for Hyundai as it celebrates the first anniversary of the Exter SUV. By introducing this bold new edition, Hyundai not only honours its commitment to innovation and style but also strengthens its position in the competitive SUV market. The Exter Knight Edition, with its striking design and enhanced features, is set to make a lasting impression on the Indian automotive landscape, particularly among the younger generation of car buyers.
