BYD India Expands Its Product Line with New Variants of the BYD ATTO 3

BYD India is currently a subsidiary of the global leader in New Energy Vehicles (NEV) which has its headquarters in Chennai and an office in New Delhi. BYD India's business spans electric passenger cars, battery energy storage, electric buses, trucks, forklifts, and electronics. Reportedly, it has announced the launch of three new variants of its popular electric SUV, the BYD ATTO 3. These new models are expected to arrive in India with a starting price of INR 24.99 lakh. These variants aim to make EVs affordable for all people who wish to buy EVs but can’t due to their pricing.

New Variants and Pricing

The new lineup includes the Dynamic, Premium, and Superior variants, each designed to cater to different customer needs and lifestyles. The Dynamic variant is the most affordable, with an introductory ex-showroom price of INR 24.99 lakh. The Premium and Superior variants offer more features and a longer range, enhancing the options available to customers.

Enhanced Features and Options

One of the highlights of the new BYD ATTO 3 variants is the introduction of a new Cosmos Black color option. This addition aims to provide customers with more choices in terms of aesthetics. All variants are equipped with the ultra-safe Blade Battery, which ensures high performance and efficiency.

Range and Battery Capacity

The Premium and Superior variants boast an impressive range of 521 km (ARAI tested) and 480 km (NEDC), powered by a 60.48 kWh battery. The Dynamic variant offers a range of 468 km (ARAI tested) and 410 km (NEDC) with a 49.92 kWh battery. This shows BYD's commitment to delivering vehicles that not only perform well but also offer excellent efficiency.

Certification and Credibility

Each variant has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), which adds to the credibility of BYD India. The company has also expanded its dealership network, now comprising 26 showrooms across 23 cities, ensuring that customers receive top-notch service and support.

Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, expressed his enthusiasm about the new launch, stating that it marks a significant milestone in India’s electric vehicle landscape. He emphasized that the introduction of the Cosmos Black Edition adds a stylish touch to the lineup, and the diverse offerings are aimed at making premium electric mobility more accessible to a broader audience.

Technological Advancements

The new variants of the BYD ATTO 3 are equipped with several advanced features tailored to customer preferences. These include seven airbags, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360° holographic imaging system. Additionally, the vehicles offer rapid charging capabilities, allowing them to charge from 0% to 80% in just 50 minutes.

BYD continues to make a significant impact on the global stage, having sold an impressive 7.3 million vehicles worldwide. The company is also a proud member of the Fortune 500, demonstrating its market strength and commitment to excellence. According to the Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands 2024 report, BYD is among the Top 10 global automotive brands, with a brand value exceeding US$10 billion. This success is a testament to the trust customers place in the brand.
