The BMW X3 M40i equips a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that pushes 360 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.
BMW X3 M40i has been launched at Rs 86.50 lakh and will be available in limited numbers for the Indian market. Customers can book the BMW X3 M40i for a token amount of Rs 5.0 lakh. The BMW X3 M40i is the performance version of the X3 SUV, and the BMW M340i sedan borrows the powertrain.
The exterior feature list includes standard M Sport package bells and whistles, such as the M-specific kidney grille, dual-tone 20-inch alloy wheels, headlamp unit, wing mirrors, and tailpipes. Other exterior bits like the window surround, roof rail and slats on the grille get an all-black treatment, and the paint callipers have been done in red colour. The BMW X3 M40i comes in two colours: Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.
The BMW X3 M40i interiors get an all-black treatment with the M Sport package, which includes M Sport steering with M-colour stitching and M badge at the bottom, M-specific seat belts, and M-badge on the centre console, to name a few. Other noteworthy mentions include the two 12.3-inch screens, a Harmon Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, triple-zone climate control, a heads-up display and ambient lighting.
Powering the BMW X3 M40i is a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbo petrol engine pushing a good 360 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims that the BMW X3 M40i can dart from 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds, and the top speed is locked at 250 kmph. The BMW X3 M40i also gets adaptive suspension, variable sport steering, M Sport brakes and differential locks with performance controls. These bits are a part of the slew of M Sport kit that comes with the BMW X3 M40i. The BMW X3 M40i will wrestle with the likes of the Porche Macan S, Volvo XC60, and Audi Q5.
