BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe India set for launch on July 17, 2025

BMW is ready to introduce the new generation of its entry-luxury sedan, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, in India on July 17. Pre-bookings are taking place at Rs 1.5 lakh, and details of the pre-booking number can be found on the digital sales platform of BMW or by visiting the authorized dealership. The car will be launched in two sporty petrol-only variants with thrilling features and dynamic stylishness.

Today, July 17, 2025, BMW India is all set to introduce the new generation of BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe to its entry-level luxury product category. The sleek new sedan has already been opened for pre-booking at a nominal amount of Rs 1.5 lakh.

The new Gran Coupe will fall under the Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) category, making it highly suitable to occupy the competitive luxury sedan segment.

Performance-Ready and Petrol-Powered

The new 2 Series will only be outfitted with a petrol engine, unlike its predecessor, which had diesel variants. A 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will deliver 156 bhp and a 230 Nm maximum torque.

This motor is matched to a seven gear automatic transmission that provides smooth power and smooth ride. The car will also come in two versions including 218 M Sport and 218 M Sport Pro that has a performance-based tuning with dynamic design.

Sporty Exterior with Bold Colour Options

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will be available in four luxury colors that are Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Alpine White, and M Portimao Blue Metallic. Its sporty profile is further supplemented by having standard 18-inch alloy wheels, and it also has frameless doors to give it a sporty coupe look.

The vehicle targets the urban customer who wants a means of performance, design, and everyday usability.

Package-Laden Cabin And Newest Technology BMW

Internally, the 2 Series has an angled dual-screen configuration that integrates the infotainment and digital instrument cluster into the single modern display.

The other luxury features are ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, 360-degree camera, ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control, and Harman Kardon music system. The wireless charger and USB Type-C ports will go down well with tech enthusiasts.

By introducing this, BMW expects to increase the number of young luxury car purchasers who are seeking an attractive sedan.
