Audi has unveiled the third-generationQ3, showcasing new design tweaks and mechanical improvements. It will hit international markets by September 2025, with a planned launch in India later. In the premium compact SUV market, it will rival the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Design: Sharper, Sportier, More Sophisticated
The updated Audi Q3 adopts several design details from the larger Q5. Most noticeable are the single-frame honeycomb grille and the split-headlamp design giving it a bold look. The Matrix LED headlamps stacked with pixel-style DRLs, include 25,600 micro-LEDs highlighting advanced lighting tech.
On the side, the SUV shows off smoother lines, along with wheel arches and side skirts painted to match the body. Buyers can choose alloy wheels between 17 and 20 inches in size.
At the back, the new OLED taillight bar paired with an illuminated Audi emblem gives a modern and innovative touch.
Interior & Tech: Bigger Inside, Smarter Displays
The interior of the new Q3 gets revamped with digital upgrades. It features a 12.8-inch infotainment screen powered by Android Automotive OS paired with a crystal-clear 11.9-inch digital driver’s display.
The gear selector now sits behind the steering wheel, which opens up extra space on the center console. Standout features include a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls and better overall cabin design for comfort.
Powertrains: ICE, Diesel & Plug-in Hybrid Options
Around the world, the new Q3 will bring together various options, including petrol, diesel, and hybrid engines:
1.5L Turbo Petrol (150hp) with cylinder deactivation technology
2.0L Turbo Petrol (265hp) paired with Quattro AWD
2.0L Diesel (150hp) without Quattro AWD
Plug-in Hybrid: A 1.5L TFSI engine combined with an electric motor producing 272hp
Every version uses a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The plug-in hybrid option stands out as it emphasizes Audi’s shift to performance options that are cleaner and more fuel-conscious.
The 2025 Audi Q3 looks to raise the bar in compact luxury SUVs by combining sleek design, advanced tech, and eco-friendly features. Keep an eye out for its release in India in early 2026.
