2024 Tata Punch Petrol Facelift New Colours Features And Specifications Unveiled

2024 Tata Punch Petrol Facelift – New Colours, Features, and Specifications Unveiled

Tata Motors has unveiled the 2024 Punch Petrol Facelift, an exciting update for one of India's most popular compact SUVs. Known for its robust build quality, stylish design, and impressive feature set, the new Tata Punch Petrol variant comes with enhanced features, new design elements, and a wide range of colour options. Let’s dive into the details of this highly anticipated facelift.

Design and Dimensions

The 2024 Tata Punch Petrol Facelift is designed to be both compact and assertive, ideal for urban environments and weekend getaways. With a length of 3,827 mm, width of 1,742 mm, and height of 1,615 mm, the Punch stands tall among its competitors in the compact SUV segment. Its wheelbase of 2,445 mm provides a spacious cabin, while the ground clearance of 187 mm allows it to tackle uneven roads and speed breakers with ease.

In addition to its tough exterior, the facelift features a sleek new colour palette, offering buyers choices like Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Calypso Red, Meteor Bronze, and Tornado Blue. Each variant has its own unique colour options, allowing customers to personalize their Punch according to their style preferences.

Engine and Performance

The heart of the 2024 Tata Punch Petrol is its 1.2-litre Revotron engine, a 3-cylinder powerhouse that delivers 87.8 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 3250 rpm. This engine is known for its balance between efficiency and performance, making it ideal for both city commutes and highway cruising. The powertrain is available with two transmission options: a 5-speed manual gearbox for those who prefer hands-on driving and an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) for a more relaxed and effortless drive.

The Punch's AMT option is especially suited for urban driving, where traffic conditions often require frequent gear shifts. This provides a hassle-free experience while navigating congested streets. Meanwhile, the manual option appeals to those who want more control over gear changes, ensuring there’s something for every type of driver.

Suspension and Handling

When it comes to handling, Tata has engineered the Punch Petrol facelift to provide a comfortable yet responsive driving experience. The front suspension consists of independent lower wishbones with McPherson struts and coil springs, while the rear setup features a semi-independent twist beam with coil springs and shock absorbers. This suspension system ensures a smooth ride over potholes and rough terrain, making it ideal for both city streets and off-road adventures.

Variant-Wise Feature Breakdown

The 2024 Tata Punch Petrol facelift comes in several variants, each offering a different level of features and equipment.

  • Punch Pure: The base variant includes dual airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat provision, and central locking. Other key features include front power windows, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and Idle Start-Stop (ISS) technology.

It also includes 15-inch Hyper Style wheels, shark-fin antenna, and rear defogger, enhancing both convenience and style.

  • Punch Creative +: The premium Creative + variant comes with features like R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, wireless charging, tyre pressure monitoring system (iTPMS), auto-folding ORVMs, puddle lamps, and leather-trimmed steering and gear knobs for a more luxurious experience.

Comfort, Safety, and Technology

Safety remains a priority for Tata, with all variants of the Punch equipped with dual airbags and ESP. Higher variants introduce reverse parking cameras, follow-me-home headlamps, and anti-glare IRVMs for added convenience. Comfort features like automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and driver seat height adjustment are available in mid-to-high-end variants, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.

Conclusion

The 2024 Tata Punch Petrol facelift impresses with its enhanced features, stylish design, and multiple transmission options. Whether you’re seeking a budget-friendly compact SUV with basic features or a fully loaded model with modern tech, Tata offers something for every customer. With its updated look, improved tech, and robust performance, the new Punch is set to continue its popularity in India’s small SUV segment.
