2024 Citroen C3: What's New?

Citroen has rolled out the updated 2024 C3 hatchback in India, with prices starting at Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom). While an automatic variant is on the horizon, let’s delve into the new features that the latest C3 model brings, especially those influenced by the recently launched Basalt edition.

1. Foldable Roof Grab Handles

A seemingly minor update but a significant one for daily usability—the 2024 Citroen C3 now features foldable roof grab handles across all variants. This addition enhances comfort for both front and rear passengers. Additionally, the car sees repositioned rear window switches, although the base variant continues with only front power windows.

2. Mid-Spec Variant Feature Rejig

The mid-spec Feel (O) variant now comes equipped with Isofix child seat anchorage with top tether and all three-point seat belts, significantly boosting safety. This variant also sports a 'TESSERA' full-wheel cover and an anodised gray deco instrument panel, offering a more refined aesthetic. However, it’s important to note that dual-tone options are no longer available for Feel variants.

3. Fully-Loaded Top-Spec Shine Variant

The top-spec Shine variant is where Citroen has packed all the premium features. This variant offers dual-tone color schemes like Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, and Cosmo Blue. With the discontinuation of the Feel Turbo variant, features such as engine start-stop, ESP, hill-hold, and TPMS are now exclusive to the Shine trim. Additional highlights include automatic climate control, powered wing mirrors, side turn indicators on ORVMs, LED Vision projector headlamps, six airbags, and an upgraded seven-inch digital instrument panel.

4. Refreshed MyCitroën Connect App

Citroen has also refreshed its 'MyCitroën Connect app' for the 2024 C3. Buyers of the top-spec variant will benefit from 40 new smart features, enhancing connectivity, user experience, and overall convenience.

The 2024 Citroen C3 brings a thoughtful blend of practicality, safety, and modern technology, making it a compelling option for those seeking a stylish and feature-rich hatchback. Whether you’re eyeing the value-packed mid-spec variant or the fully-loaded top-spec Shine, the new C3 offers enhancements that cater to a wide range of needs.
