# The "Daily Driver" Experience I bought this car for one reason: my 40 km daily office commute in crawling traffic. The AMT Relief: If you’re coming from a manual, your left leg will thank you. The AMT is "lazy" but predictable. I’ve learned to "lift off" the accelerator slightly when I feel the car is about to shift—this completely removes that annoying head-nod jerk. The CNG Transition: Most days, I forget I’m even driving a CNG car. It starts directly in CNG mode in the morning without any drama. The power difference is only noticeable if you try to overtake a fast-moving truck on the highway; in the city, it's punchy enough. Running Costs: This is the best part. I’m spending roughly ₹2.5 to ₹3 per km. Filling up the tank costs about ₹600–700, and it lasts me nearly 220 km in the city. ### What I Love (The Highs) The Sound System: The 8-speaker Harman system is genuinely better than cars two segments above (like the Creta or Seltos). It makes traffic jams bearable. Tank Packaging: Unlike my neighbor's WagonR, I actually have a trunk. I can fit two cabin-sized trolley bags or all my weekly groceries without folding the seats. That "Tank-Like" Feel: When you close the door, there’s a solid "thud." On the highway, the car stays planted at 80–100 km/h, unlike some competitors that feel like they’ll fly away in a crosswind. ### What Annoys Me (The Lows) The 3-Cylinder Growl: At idle, you can feel vibrations on the steering wheel and seats. It’s not "luxury car" quiet. When you rev it hard, it sounds a bit strained. The Reverse Camera/Sensor Lag: Sometimes the infotainment takes a second or two to wake up when I slot it into reverse. It’s a small software glitch that Tata hasn't quite perfected. The Service Lottery: Tata’s service centers are hit or miss. One center might treat you like a king, while another is overcrowded and slow. You have to find the "good one" in your city by asking other owners. ### Real-World Maintenance & Issues Ground Clearance: Even with two full CNG cylinders and 4 adults, I haven't scraped the bottom on standard speed breakers. Tata stiffened the rear suspension to handle the extra weight. CNG Queues: Depending on where you live, be prepared to wait 15–20 minutes at the pump. Since the tank is small (\approx 8\text{--}9\text{ kg}), you’ll be visiting the station twice a week if you drive a lot.
