The flagship SUV received a sportier and more premium variant called Tiguan R-Line, priced at an introductory price of Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is CBU fully imported and is offered in one single loaded variant.
The Tiguan R-Line presents an aggressive new look with performance and a long list of advanced features. The mileage number against the SUV has been revealed by Volkswagen, which is ARAI-certified.
Powertrain and Efficiency
It has been brought under the hood of the new Tiguan R-Line with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that is rated at 201 bhp and 320 Nm of max torque. This engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and sends power to all the four wheels via the Volkswagen 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.
The ARAI mileage is officially stated to be 12.58 kmpl, which is marginally lower than the previous Tiguan version of 12.61 kmpl. Although the mileage dip can be considered marginal, R-Line is the one that was blessed with performance upgrades as well as more features.
