VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Pre-Bookings to open in India from 15 July

VinFast of Vietnam might make its Indian debut with its electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7. It will start the pre-booking activity on July 15 with the support of an expanding dealer network. Designed with impressive range and stylish looks, such EVs are set to disrupt the electric SUV segment in India in the next few months.

VinFast, the Vietnamese company that produces electric vehicles, is in the stage of officially entering the Indian market, opening pre-bookings of its first two models VF 6, and VF 7. Customers can book their advance orders on July 15, 2025, when the company plans to launch its model portfolio in India within the next several months.

Within its aggressive development strategy, the company VinFast Auto India has already entered into a partnership with 13 leading dealer groups. By the close of the 2025 calendar year, the company intends to create 35 dealerships. These outlets will be situated at major city hubs and upcoming EV cities, such as Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Coimbatore, or even smaller towns like Jhansi, Gwalior, and Shimla.

Meanwhile, the VinFast VF 6 is a small electric SUV, having a rivalry with companies such as the MG Windsor EV Pro and the Hyundai Creta Electric. It will come in two variants that have a front-mounted motor that makes 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. The battery pack of 59.6kWh achieves a certified range of 440km, providing a possible competitiveness in the segment.

The VF 7, which would be positioned higher in terms of price in the mid-size SUV lineup, will adopt a bigger 75.3kWh battery with an estimated travel range of more than 450km. Planned to be competitive with such models as the BYD Atto 3, the VF 7 will be more spacious and powerful, a further appealing option among EVs in cities and across interurban lines.

Recently, we got the opportunity to test both the VF 6 and VF 7 in Vietnam. Features such as a minimalist but technologically well-equipped interior design, impressive exterior design language, and massive infotainment touch screens were the highlights.

The future Indian journey of VinFast seems to the one featuring the right amount of aspirations and EV passion, as well as state-of-the-art features and futuristic technologies.
