2. Nissan Magnite

Nissan's Magnite, which recently received a facelift in October 2024, is priced competitively in the sub-compact SUV segment. It offers two engine options: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine with 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, or a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 99 bhp and 152 Nm of torque.

The Magnite is equipped with a host of safety features like six airbags, ABS, traction control, and ISOFIX mounts. It also includes a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

3. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, a rebadged version of the Toyota Taisor, offers a choice of a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a more powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The turbo engine produces 99 bhp and 150 Nm of torque, with gearbox options including a six-speed torque converter automatic and a five-speed manual or automated manual.

With safety features like ESP, a 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, and multiple airbags, the Fronx balances style and safety. Its strong performance and modern tech make it a solid competitor in the segment.

4. Kia Sonet

The Kia Sonet, a top performer in the sub-compact SUV category, comes with three engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel.

The Sonet is equipped with a plethora of features like a dual 10.25-inch display setup, ambient LED lighting, and a premium seven-speaker Bose system.

The 2024 update also introduces Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as lane-keeping assistance and collision warning.

5. Renault Kiger

The turbo variant produces up to 158 bhp with a manual transmission and 150 bhp with the CVT. The Kiger's features include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and seamless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

For safety, it comes with four airbags, hill start assist, ESP, and traction control, ensuring a secure and enjoyable drive.
