Tata Harrier EV Dark Edition To Launch Soon

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a Dark Edition of the Harrier EV later this year, featuring an all-black exterior, blacked-out interior, and available across 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs as well as AWD and RWD configurations, offering style without compromising performance.

Tata Motors is developing a Dark Edition of the Harrier EV, slated for launch later this year. This special edition follows a pattern of previous “Dark” updates, bringing a uniform black finish to the SUV’s exterior and interior without altering its core features.

It will be offered across the Fearless+, Fearless+ A, and Empowered trims, and available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) layouts with 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs.

Design and Interior Highlights

Expect a full-black exterior paint, blacked-out wheels, and Dark Edition badging at the rear, mirroring past Dark-themed models.

Inside, the cabin will switch to an all-black scheme, replacing the current beige-black mix. Core features—such as 14.53-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, and premium upholstery—remain unchanged from equivalent Fearless+ and Empowered variants.

Features and Technology

The Dark Edition retains standard features of its base trims. For instance, the Empowered 75 AWD variant includes dual-zone climate control, JBL sound system, powered front seats with massage function, 360-degree camera with transparent bonnet view, Level 2 ADAS, connected car tech, auto park, and full LED lighting.

No feature downgrade is expected; the update is purely cosmetic, preserving the tech package familiar to Harrier EV buyers.

Performance and Range

Mechanically, Harrier EV comes with two battery options: 65kWh (RWD) and 75kWh (RWD/AWD dual motor).

RWD versions generate around 238hp and 315Nm, while the 75kWh AWD setup makes a combined 313hp and 504Nm. Claimed ARAI 504 Nm range reaches up to 627km on the 75kWh pack, and around 538km on the 65kWh pack; real-world figures typically range lower but remain competitive in its segment. Charging capabilities, from fast DC charging to home AC charging, mirror those of the standard Harrier EV.

Expected Pricing and Availability

Official pricing for the Dark Edition is yet to be announced. Tata has not revealed any premium details in existing reports. Industry practice suggests a small premium over standard variants, though exact figures remain unconfirmed.

Launch timing is anticipated in the coming months, aligning with Tata’s plan to refresh the Harrier EV lineup. Booking windows and exact launch dates will be communicated by Tata Motors as the year progresses.

Overall, the Tata Harrier EV Dark Edition offers a stylish all-black alternative without sacrificing features, performance, or range. By extending this update across battery and drive options, Tata ensures choices for varied buyer preferences. Stay tuned for official announcements on pricing and availability as Tata readies this eye-catching variant for later this year.
