Tata Motors has confirmed that the Curvv SUV coupe will launch in India on August 7. This new model will be the first mass-market SUV coupe in India, offering a stylish alternative to midsize SUVs.
Tata Curvv Exterior and Interior Design
The Tata Curvv, based on the Nexon, features a similar design language:
Exterior: Signature split-LED headlamp setup, gloss-black cladding, split tail lamps, and a coupe-like roofline. EV and ICE models will be distinguished by different bumpers and LED light signatures.
Dimensions: The Curvv is 313mm longer than the Nexon with a 62mm longer wheelbase.
Interior: Includes a four-spoke illuminated steering wheel from the Harrier and Safari, a 10.25-inch screen for the instrument cluster, and digital dials. The EV variant might feature unique switchgear and additional features. Other notable features include a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, connected car features, and a panoramic sunroof.
Tata Curvv Powertrain Options
Petrol: A 125hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Diesel: Uses the Nexon’s 1.5-litre, four-cylinder unit.
Electric: Based on Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture, expected to offer a range of 450-500km.
Tata Curvv Expected Price and Rivals
Pricing: The Curvv EV is expected to start around Rs 20 lakh, positioning it above the Nexon EV and below the upcoming Harrier EV. The ICE version could be priced around Rs 10 lakh-11 lakh.
Rivals: The Curvv EV will compete with the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti eVX, and MG ZS EV, while the ICE version will rival midsize SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Hyundai Creta.
