New Car Coming in July in India 2025 | New Electric MPVs and BMW 2 Series

July 2025 is shaping up to be a transformative month for the Indian car market, offering something for both practical family buyers and luxury enthusiasts. Two new electric MPVs—the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the premium MG M9—are set to expand India’s EV portfolio with distinct offerings across different segments. At the same time, BMW is refreshing its entry-level luxury lineup with a sleeker, more dynamic 2 Series Gran Coupe, blending sportiness with premium appeal.

Following the series of very exciting launches of the Tata Harrier EV and the high-performance powerhouse Mercedes-AMG GT in June, the Indian auto industry will receive another round of thrills this July.

Strengths of the month comprise two purely electric MPVs and a significant update of the entry-level sedan of the BMW brand. And this is what cars will be launching in July 2025.

  1. Kia Carens Clavis EV: Debut on July 15

Kia will introduce the Carens Clavis EVon July 15, after the launch of the ICE version in May. This electric MPV will be a variant of the petrol and diesel-powered Carens Clavis, having most of the model, cabin, and feature design and layout.

The Carens Clavis EV should use the same underpinnings as the Hyundai Creta Electric under the hood. It is bound to have two battery packs available: 42kWh and 51.4kWh that will go alongside an electric motor mounted on the front axle.

Under this specification, it’s quite possible that the Carens Clavis EV will be only the second mass-market electric multipurpose vehicle in India after the BYD eMax 7, whose price ranges between Rs 26.90 lakh and Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The pricing will be similar to that of the Creta Electric.

  1. New 2 Series Gran Coupe BMW: Launch in Mid July

BMW is thoroughly prepared to reimpose the 2 Series Gran Coupe in the Indian market again with a heavy facelift. Presented worldwide in October 2024, the new 2 Series has a more angular and aggressive front end, larger wheels as extended wheel arches, flared and sharper in the back, now with angular tail-lights.

Inside, it is given a modern update to BMW with a curved display and the new iDrive software closer to the rest of the BMW sedan lineup. Although the BMW has not provided any technical details specific to the India-spec model, chances are that it will have an engine of 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with front wheel drive. The prices will fall under the bracket of Rs 45 lakh to Rs 47 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. MG M9 Electric MPV - this will be launched at the end of July.

The launch of MG's flagship electric MPV, the M9, is slated for the end of July. The M9 will compete with vehicles such as the Kia Carnival, albeit with pure-electric powertrains, and was first unveiled during the Bharat Mobility Show this year.

The M9 is a luxurious and huge car with a length of 5.2 metres. It has luxurious second row captain seats whose adjustments are powered, massaging, heated, ventilated and even the ottoman is powered.

Other luxury items are a JBL sound system, ambient lighting with 64 colours, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and a 12.23-inch touch screen. The 245hp / 350 Nm motor on the front axle is powered by a 90kWh battery, which MG says generates a range of 430 km (based on internal tests). The prices are likely to be between Rs 65- 70 lakh (ex-showroom).

  1. Mahindra XUV 3XO- New Trims on the Way beginning Early July

Mahindra is about to roll out new trims on its just-introduced XUV 3XO. No significant cosmetic or mechanical adjustments can be expected; however, the updates will probably comprise an upgraded range of variants and some slight features. Mahindra has been teasing the update, which will reach the market sometime in the early phases of July.

Conclusion

July 2025 is emerging out to be a very crucial month in the Indian auto industry and more so in the e-mobility sector. Priced in different price ranges from the economical family MPVs to high luxury sedans, the consumers will have a lot to look forward to.
