MG Motor India Sales April 2025 Rise 23.37% YoY

MG Motor India continues its growth momentum in April 2025 with a notable 23.37% YoY and 5.96% MoM rise in sales. The Windsor EV remains the brand’s top seller, boosting MG’s dominance in the electric vehicle space. As anticipation builds, the company is now gearing up to launch the Windsor Pro with upgraded features and better battery performance.

MG Motor India and JSW launched the new fiscal year with a resounding performance during April 2025, having sold 5,829 total units across the country. This performance is excellent, providing a 23.37% year-on-year (YoY) growth, considering that during April 2024, the company had sold only 4,725 units. This sales growth shows a volume increase of 1,104 units.

On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, the brand has also performed better, with an MoM increment of 5.96% over March 2025's 5,501. This steady incrementation in both YoY and MoM figures speaks to MG's strong standing in the increasingly competitive Indian automotive market, in particular, and even more so in the segment of Electric Vehicles.

Windsor EV - The Favorite Electric Car of India

The Windsor EV - MG's flagship electric vehicle - has been the mainstay in every figure of growth. With its stylish looks, practicality, and value features, Windsor has now cemented itself as the best-selling EV in India. The rest of MG's models include Comet EV, ZS EV, Astor, and Gloster, but none of them hold a candle to the popularity of Windsor.

Windsor Pro Next Big Launch

Now, MG takes the Windsor nameplate further with yet another launch: Windsor Pro. This upgraded version caters to techy buyers in India and is expected to come with high-end features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, and a bigger battery pack, probably the most talked-about feature.

Currently, the Windsor comes in an EV configuration with a battery of 38 kWh, but the Pro version is likely to mount a 50 kWh unit, resembling the range of the ZS EV.

This change seems to be in sync with MG's far-fetched vision, that of being a leader in the EV market in India through advanced, feature-packed electric vehicles offered at reasonable prices.
