Having made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Maruti e Vitara, the first attempt of the carmaker at a full-fledged electric vehicle (EV), is now poised to hit the roads shortly. To this extent, Maruti has now revealed that the electric SUV will be shipped out to approximately 100 nations after making its entry in India. The exports will commence in the ongoing fiscal year (FY) 2025-26 and cover markets in Europe and Japan as well.
The automaker has also stated that it is the largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fourth year running in FY 2024-25 with a 43 percent export share. It has also crossed 3 lakh units in calendar (2024) and fiscal (2024-25) exports for the first time.
The Maruti Fronx, Maruti Jimny, Maruti Baleno, Maruti Swift, and Maruti Dzire were the top exports during this time. The Maruti e Vitara will now be added to the list of cars that the automaker ships to its other markets.
Overview of the eVitara
The Maruti e Vitara receives a quite contemporary look with LED projector headlights, Y-shaped LED DRLs, 18-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels, and 3-piece LED wraparound taillights joined by a gloss black strip.
Inside, there is a dual-tone dashboard with dual displays and a two-spoke steering wheel. It has a semi-leatherette seat upholstery with the same theme as the cabin.
The e Vitara will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.1-inch fully digital driver's display, and a high-end sound system. It will also feature a 10-way powered driver's seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a fixed panoramic glass roof.
For safety, it will receive 7 airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera system and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

The Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced between Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) and, therefore will go up against the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
