The Maruti Brezza has around 95,000 pending orders as the company works to increase production.
CNG remains the preferred powertrain, while the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine is also in demand.
The Maruti Brezza has received almost 1 lakh bookings, with around 95,000 orders currently pending. Maruti Suzuki is working to increase production of the SUV as it looks to address the current order backlog.
The company is also working to increase the production of CNG models across its range, as demand for these versions is higher than available supply.
Maruti Brezza CNG Demand
The CNG version of the Brezza accounts for a large share of the current demand. The report notes that CNG continues to be the preferred powertrain despite the availability of the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine.
One of the features of the Brezza's CNG setup is the underbody CNG tank. This arrangement means the CNG tank does not occupy space inside the boot.
The Brezza is the second Maruti Suzuki model to use this type of CNG tank installation, following the Victoris.
Maruti Brezza Turbo-Petrol Engine
The 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine is also in demand. In the Brezza, this engine produces 108 bhp and 170 Nm.
The same engine is available in the Fronx, where it produces 99 bhp and 147 Nm.
This gives the Brezza another powertrain option alongside the CNG version.
Updated Maruti Brezza Features
The updated Brezza also receives several feature changes. These include:
Wireless charging pad with active cooling
Electric sunroof
Revised HVAC controls
Updated second-row headrests
The wireless charging system includes active cooling to manage the temperature of a compatible smartphone during charging.
Maruti Brezza Production and Pending Orders
With around 95,000 Brezza bookings pending, Maruti Suzuki is looking to increase production to address the existing orders.
The company is also increasing the production of CNG models across its range to improve their availability.
The current booking figures show continued demand for the Brezza, with both its CNG and turbo-petrol versions contributing to the model's order numbers. Maruti Suzuki's next focus will be on increasing production to meet the pending orders.
