Mahindra Xev 9e And Be 6e Teased Premium Electric Suvs Set To Redefine The Ev Market

Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e Teased: Premium Electric SUVs Set to Redefine the EV Market

Mahindra is stepping up its electric game with the introduction of two new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, set to debut on November 26. These SUVs mark the launch of Mahindra’s two sub-brands, Born Electric (BE) and XEV. The BE lineup will consist of electric vehicles built from scratch, while the XEV range will electrify existing internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, the XEV 9e and BE 6e promise cutting-edge features, futuristic design, and competitive performance.

First Look at the Interiors

The latest teaser from Mahindra offers a glimpse into the interiors of these highly anticipated SUVs. The XEV 9e boasts a high-tech triple-screen setup comprising a digital driver’s display, a central touchscreen infotainment system, and a passenger display. This configuration hints at a focus on advanced technology and user convenience.

The BE 6e, on the other hand, features dual integrated screens that merge seamlessly into the dashboard, delivering a clean and futuristic look. Both models also sport a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Mahindra logos and a panoramic sunroof, adding a premium feel to the cabin.

Exterior Design: Bold and Futuristic

The exterior design of the XEV 9e and BE 6e retains the sharp, concept-inspired aesthetics revealed earlier. Both models feature a coupe-SUV roofline that enhances their sporty and aerodynamic profile.

  • XEV 9e: The XEV 9e flaunts inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs at the front, while the rear is highlighted by connected LED tail lights. These elements lend it a distinctive and futuristic appearance, ensuring it stands out in the growing EV segment.

  • BE 6e: The BE 6e adopts a bold design with a pointed bonnet, slim bumper, and prominent C-shaped LED DRLs. These design cues give it an aggressive stance, appealing to buyers looking for a modern electric SUV.

Mahindra has ensured that both the XEV 9e and BE 6e are loaded with premium features and technologies.

Interior Highlights:

Both models are expected to come with a robust safety kit, including:

  • Six airbags as standard

  • 360-degree camera

  • Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

These features, coupled with Mahindra’s reputation for durability, make the XEV 9e and BE 6e compelling options in the electric SUV market.

Powertrain and Performance

While Mahindra has not revealed full details about the powertrains, some specifications have been teased:

  • XEV 9e:

  • Can accommodate 60 kWh and 80 kWh battery packs
