Kia Carens Clavis Makes Bold Global Debut in India With Panoramic Sunroof, ADAS & More

The completely new Kia Carens Clavis has now gone on sale officially in India, and it gives customers a well-loaded MPV with new looks, six and seven-seater configurations, robust safety features, and three powerplants. Orders open May 9 at 12:01 AM for an advance payment of ₹25,000.

Kia Carens Clavis

Kia has finally launched the much-anticipated Carens Clavis as a premium variant of the standard Carens. Loaded with design updates, technology-packed features, and multiple variants, the Carens Clavis is meant to re-define the Indian family MPV market. The Carens Clavis bookings begin on May 9, 2025, at 12:01 AM, at a booking price of ₹25,000.

Revised Exterior Design With High-End Features

The Clavis gives Kia's MPV lineup a tougher look. It features star-map LED daytime running lamps, three-pod headlights, and new bumpers with contrasting coloured skid plates. The back has joined LED taillamps, a light bar, and 17-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels. New roof rails and a shark-fin antenna give it a dash of SUV-like stance.

The MPV will be available in eight colours, including:

  • Pewter Olive

  • Gravity Gray

  • Sparkling Silver

  • Aurora Black Pearl

  • Clear White

  • Glacier White Pearl

  • Imperial Blue

  • Ivory Silver Gloss

Premium Cabin and Advanced Tech Features

The interior receives a substantial upgrade with a panoramic sunroof, dual-screen dashboard design, and a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Comfort is addressed with ventilated front seats, a four-way powered driver's seat, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. The new AC control console contributes to the sleekness.

From a safety and convenience perspective, the Carens Clavis boasts Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, DBC, and all-disc brakes across the four wheels.

Engine Variants and Choices

The Clavis will feature three powertrain options:

  1. 1.5L NA petrol

  2. 1.5L turbo-petrol

  3. 1.5L diesel

Its transmission offerings will be 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic (torque converter), iMT, and 7-speed DCT.

There will be a lineup of seven versions: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+.
