Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches Telemedicine Clinics In Pune

Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches Telemedicine Clinics in Pune

Hyundai Motors is devoting its funds and time to not only appealing to its customers in the automotive sector but also the Healthcare sector as well. Reportedly, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has taken the initiative to start a telemedicine clinic under its Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative in Talegaon, Pune, Maharashtra. It was Inaugurated by Shri Girish Mahajan, Minister - Rural Development & Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Maharashtra.

Hyundai’s Commitment to Healthcare

Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head of Corporate Affairs at HMIL, shared the company’s vision at the inauguration. He emphasized Hyundai’s global mission of 'Progress for Humanity.' The Sparsh Sanjeevani initiative aims to provide healthcare to underserved regions in India through telemedicine. The addition of these five new clinics brings the total number of telemedicine clinics to 40 across eight states in India. Mr. Anand highlighted the goal of ensuring that even the most remote communities receive the necessary healthcare services. Through various initiatives, HMIF aims to foster sustainable development and promote overall societal growth.

About the Sparsh Sanjeevani Initiative

The Sparsh Sanjeevani initiative by the Hyundai Motor India Foundation was created to enhance healthcare services in remote villages by making primary healthcare accessible to underserved communities. Telemedicine clinics are nurse-assisted, where patients connect with specialist doctors through video calls for remote consultations. After the consultation, the on-ground nurse provides the prescribed medicines to each patient. This service is offered at a nominal charge of Rs. 100 per patient and includes the option for follow-up consultations.

This initiative reflects Hyundai’s dedication to improving healthcare accessibility and infrastructure in rural India, ensuring that more people receive timely and effective medical care.

In Summary, The launch of telemedicine clinics by the Hyundai Motor India Foundation in Pune marks a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility in rural India. By leveraging technology, these clinics provide crucial medical consultations and services to remote communities, helping bridge the gap in healthcare infrastructure.
