Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches Mobile Health Units In Maharashtra

Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches Mobile Health Units in Maharashtra

Hyundai Motors has not limited their services to vehicles, they have much more than this for Indian people. Recently, it has introduced a new healthcare project under Hyundai Motor India Limited's (HMIL) corporate social responsibility arm, the Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF). This initiative will be known as Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units, which attempts to provide basic healthcare to the rural areas of Maharashtra's Aurangabad and Nagpur.

Launch Event

The launch event took place on July 17, 2024, and was attended by Shri. Girish Mahajan, Minister of Rural Development, Youth Affairs, and Sports for the Government of Maharashtra. At the event, he flagged off the Mobile Chikitsa units, symbolizing the start of this important healthcare project.

Purpose and Vision

Puneet Anand, Assistant Vice President and Vertical Head of Corporate Affairs at HMIL emphasized the importance of a healthy population for overall development. He highlighted that the Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units are in line with Hyundai’s global vision of "Progress for Humanity". The goal of these units is to make a positive impact on the lives of people living in the remote and underserved areas of Nagpur and Aurangabad by providing them with much-needed medical services.

Features of the Mobile Chikitsa Units

The Mobile Chikitsa units are specially designed vans that have been converted into mobile clinics. These Hyundai Mighty vans are equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities. They will travel through rural areas, offering proactive diagnostics and free medical consultations to people who do not have easy access to healthcare.

Each van is staffed with a qualified MBBS doctor who provides free consultations and medicines. The vans are also equipped with modern medical testing facilities and diagnostic tools. These tools can conduct various tests, including blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and screenings for diseases such as malaria and dengue.

Benefits for Rural Areas

The Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units will serve remote villages that lack primary healthcare facilities. By bringing medical care directly to these areas, the units aim to address the healthcare needs of rural populations who otherwise might not receive timely medical attention. This initiative is particularly important in ensuring that basic health services reach everyone, regardless of their location.

To sum up, Hyundai Motor India Foundation's launch of the Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units in Nagpur and Aurangabad marks a significant step towards improving healthcare access in rural Maharashtra. By providing free medical services and consultations directly to underserved communities, HMIF is working to create a healthier population, which is essential for the holistic development of society. This initiative reflects Hyundai’s commitment to progressing humanity and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
