Hyundai Exter Cng Vs Maruti Suzuki Fronx Cng Price Mileage Specifications

Hyundai Exter CNG vs Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG: Price, Mileage, Specifications

Hyundai has recently introduced the Exter CNG with a twin CNG tank, following Tata Motors' lead in this innovative storage solution. Competing against it is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG, one of India's top-selling vehicles. Let’s delve into the details of these two sub-compact CNG-powered SUVs.

Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx stands out with its length of 3995 mm and a width of 1765 mm, based on a 2520 mm wheelbase. On the other hand, the Hyundai Exter CNG has a taller stance with a height of 1631 mm, but it's shorter in length and width. The Exter CNG comes with 15-inch tires, while the Fronx sports larger 16-inch tires. Although Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki haven't disclosed the exact boot space for their CNG models, the twin CNG tank in the Exter promises better luggage space.

Engine Specifications

Both the Hyundai Exter CNG and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG are equipped with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine. The Exter CNG produces 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque, while the Fronx CNG offers slightly more power with 76.4 bhp and 98.5 Nm of torque. Both SUVs come with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Performance and Efficiency

The performance metrics of both vehicles are fairly comparable, with the Fronx CNG having a slight edge in power output. When it comes to mileage, CNG vehicles typically offer better fuel efficiency than their petrol counterparts, though exact figures for these models are yet to be officially announced.

Price and Value

The pricing of these models plays a crucial role in their appeal. As CNG variants, they are positioned to offer an economical alternative for daily commuting without compromising on utility and features. Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki are yet to reveal the exact pricing for their CNG models, but they are expected to be competitively priced within their respective segments.

Choosing between the Hyundai Exter CNG and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG will depend on your specific needs and preferences. The Exter offers a taller stance and potentially better luggage space with its twin CNG tank, while the Fronx provides more power and a longer wheelbase, which might appeal to those looking for a slightly larger vehicle. Both vehicles promise the benefits of CNG efficiency, making them suitable choices for budget-conscious buyers seeking eco-friendly alternatives.

Keep an eye out for official announcements on pricing and detailed specifications to make an informed decision.
