Citroen Unveils Ambitious Plan To Expand Dealership Network To 200 Touchpoints Across India

Citroen Unveils Ambitious Plan to Expand Dealership Network to 200 Touchpoints Across India

It is the launch of the French automaker Citroen that has the potential to significantly reinforce Citroen’s presence in the Indian market. The said strategic move was manifested in the bold announcement of the Network Expansion Program (NEP). The program, which is scheduled to launch by the end of 2024, seeks to refurbish Citroen's dealership base from the current 58 outlets to a mind-boggling 200 points of sale. It almost triples the number of outlets as compared to the current 58 across the country.

Within the NEP framework, Citroen is expected to expand into the suburbs as well as deepen its penetration into the rural areas, which can be considered as a policy that reaffirms the brand's determination to serve the needs of different consumers. This capital inflow by Stellantis, which is the parent company of Citroen, is signifying its commitment to the market in India and the brand's pathway to growth.

Citroen's Shishir Mishra, Brand Director in India, states that the company will create a brand path that will facilitate reaching out to consumers across the towns at different tiers of the cities. Mishra on the other hand highlighted the benefits of picking up Tier 3 and Tier 4 markets since they are nearby the metro cities and also because they have the highest growth potential. Citroën although aiming for a competitive market share among the largest cities of emerging economies also targets smaller towns and cities to achieve a diversified geographical footprint and as part of its commitment to the enhancement of the socio-economic development, fostering prosperity and inclusivity.

Citroen launch is planned, which provides additional options to meet every needs of customers, as we offer innovative smart retail formats that you can choose as per the market category. Citroen targets a three-pronged approach through the new growth of dealerships in both the urban, semi-urban, and rural areas to create a solid presence in strengthening the accessibility of products and services to a wider consumption population.

Stellantis' significant investment earlier this year underscores the company's unwavering commitment to Citroen's growth in India. As Citroen continues to expand and innovate, the brand remains steadfast in its vision of transforming and reaching customers, making its products and services accessible to everyone.

With Citroen's aggressive expansion plans and strategic investments, the Indian automotive landscape is set for a significant transformation, promising increased accessibility and an enhanced Citroen brand experience for consumers across the country.
