Citroen Drops a Stylish Bombshell with Dark Edition Range!

Citroen India unveils the Dark Edition range with C3, Aircross, and Basalt. It has a sporty blacked-out design, premium features, and no mechanical changes. MS Dhoni receives the first Basalt Dark Edition!

Citroen India just rolled out the Dark Edition range! The lineup includes the C3 hatchback, the Aircross SUV, and the sleek Basalt coupe SUV. Additionally, the first-ever Basalt Dark Edition was handed over to none other than cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni! Let's talk about what makes it special!

What’s the Deal with the Dark Edition?

The Dark Edition range is like the cool kid of Citroen’s lineup. These cars—C3, Aircross, and Basalt—are decked out in a stunning Perla Nera Black paint job. Think dark, glossy, and totally sleek. They’ve got dark chrome accents on the Chevron badge, front grille, and body molding, plus gloss black touches on the bumpers and door handles. It’s like the cars are wearing a stylish black tuxedo!

Inside, it’s just as dope. The cabins rock an all-black theme with Metropolitan Black leatherette seats and a leatherette-wrapped dashboard. There’s even some Lava Red detailing and high-gloss finishes to spice things up. You’ll also spot dark chrome moldings, custom seat covers, and a fancy grille embellisher. It’s sporty, classy, and it’s totally Instagram-worthy.

How Much Do They Cost?

Alright, let’s talk numbers. These Dark Editions are priced just a tad higher than their regular versions—about Rs 19,500 more. Here’s the breakdown for each model:

  1. Citroen Basalt Dark Edition

  2. Turbo Max MT: Rs 12.80 lakh

  3. Turbo Max AT: Rs 14.10 lakh

  4. Citroen Aircross Dark Edition

  5. Turbo Max MT: Rs 13.13 lakh

  6. Turbo Max AT: Rs 14.27 lakh

  7. Citroen C3 Dark Edition

  8. Dark Edition C3: Rs 8.38 lakh

Note: These are ex-showroom prices, so check with your dealer for on-road costs.

Any Extra Goodies for the C3?

The C3 Dark Edition gets some special love. Its fuel tank is now 45 liters—that’s 15 liters bigger than before, meaning fewer stops at the pump. Plus, the Feel O trim of the C3 has been upgraded with adjustable front seat headrests and turn indicators on the ORVMs. Small tweaks, big impact!

What’s Under the Hood?

No surprises here—the Dark Editions keep it real with the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine as their regular siblings. This zippy motor pumps out 110 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. You can pair it with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, depending on your vibe.

Fuel efficiency? Pretty solid. The Basalt gets 18.5 kmpl, while the Aircross stretches it to 19.5 kmpl. Perfect for cruising around town or hitting the highway without breaking the bank.

Why MS Dhoni’s Basalt Steals the Show

Okay, let’s talk about the man of the hour—MS Dhoni. As Citroen’s brand ambassador, he got the keys to the first Basalt Dark Edition. How cool is that? The Basalt’s coupe SUV design already screams style, and the Dark Edition takes it to another level with its blacked-out swagger. No wonder Dhoni’s riding in one—it’s practically made for legends!

Why You’ll Love the Dark Edition

First things first, it's an exclusive deal with only limited options. The black-on-black look is perfect if you love standing out without being too flashy. Plus, you’re getting top-end trims with all the bells and whistles—like premium interiors, cool accents, and that sporty edge.

Whether you’re zipping through the city in the C3, tackling longer drives in the Aircross, or turning heads in the Basalt, these cars are built to impress. And with no mechanical changes, you’re getting the same reliable performance Citroen’s known for, just wrapped in a hotter package.

So, if you are wondering about getting one, Citroen’s Dark Edition range can be your go-to model. From the sleek design to the premium interiors, these cars are all about bold vibes and big personalities. And with MS Dhoni already cruising in his Basalt, you know it’s a big deal.

But don’t wait too long; limited editions don’t stick around forever!
