India's automotive environment is ready to face a high-octane May in 2025; the manufacturers are gearing toward the launch of several updated and all-new vehicles. Such launches will include advancements in the heavily modified MPV, the first-ever facelift of a popular hatch, a performance hatchback icon landing in Indian territory, and lastly, an electric vehicle granting itself an important update.

2025 Kia Carens Facelift - Launch on May 8
The company is set to give the Carens MPV a complete makeover and front-line interiors. The 2025 Carens will hit the market with an altogether new version alongside a lot of upgrades to it, which include the twin 12.3-inch instrumentation display, a panoramic sunroof, and the second-row ventilated seats (this option will be available only for the six-seater).
Level 2 ADAS will also be part of the pack. Since powertrain changes are not expected, the Carens will carry on with the powertrains of 1.5-litre petrol, diesel, and turbo-petrol engines. The exact price will be announced around June.

Tata Altroz Facelift: Launching May 21
Altroz faces its first major facelift since its 2020 launch. The exterior would expect subtle tweaks that included fresh lighting elements and restyled bumpers and alloy wheels. Expect changes inside as well, perhaps with new upholstery, steering wheel, and infotainment elements. The Altroz will continue offering one of the widest powertrain options available: petrol, Turbo-petrol, Diesel, and CNG.

MG Windsor EV Long-Range Variant-Come
MG's best-selling EV will soon get a massive upgrade in terms of battery capacity along the lines of a larger 50.6 kWh battery, pushing its range to a very decent 460 km (CLTC). The update is also expected to be set on the added feature side in a more practical way from an urban EV buyer's perspective.
Estimated Price: ₹11.5 lakh + battery rental / ₹15.5 lakh (full ownership)
Volkswagen Golf GTI: Set to Launch in India This May
The much-awaited hot hatch is finally on its way to India in the form of the Golf GTI and is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 PS and has a peak torque of 370 Nm. It will come CBU for the enthusiasts as far as build quality and snappy handling are concerned. This is VW's second GTI to come to India after the Polo GTI.
Expected Price: ₹52 lakh
Luxury Segment Watch
Unconfirmed, but luxury players such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi could surprise with launches toward the end of the month. Stay tuned for last-minute announcements.
